Yang Ping stood still, looking out the window. The sun was perfect, and the national flag in the institute's yard gently swayed in the breeze. He remembered many years ago when he was a resident doctor. After a night shift, walking out of the hospital to see the dawn, feeling exhausted but full of hope.
His phone vibrated; it was Manstein calling. Manstein apparently hadn't slept all night, waiting for the news.
"Professor! My God! Congratulations! I knew it!" Manstein's voice was so excited it almost broke the sound barrier, "Carlson's office has just notified me! You did it! We did it! You've won again, my God."
"Thank you, Professor Manstein..."
"No, don't call me professor, just call me by my name!" Manstein interrupted him, "Professor, you always forget how to properly address me."
"Alright, Manstein!" Yang Ping corrected.
