In one of the earlier future videos, there was indeed a scene showing an aged and weary Logan, with a katana hanging on the wall of his bedroom. Much like the old warrior himself, that blade likely held a story long buried and untold.
Logan didn't say anything. He simply reached out to grasp the hilt, testing it.
The moment his fingers touched the handle, a brilliant white light exploded from the blade. In a flash, the light consumed him entirely.
His vision turned blinding white—and just like that, Logan found himself back in that bizarre world of monsters and demons.
The last time he was here, it had been through Inuyasha's legacy. He'd "possessed" Inuyasha, experiencing the life of not a full demon, but a half-demon.
But this time was different. Logan floated like a ghost, watching the world from a third-person perspective. And that was when he saw another demon—Sesshomaru.
Sesshomaru was Inuyasha's half-brother. But unlike Inuyasha, Sesshomaru was a full-blooded demon.
Their relationship was anything but brotherly. In fact, they fought more fiercely than strangers, constantly at odds. Watching them, Logan couldn't help but think of his own twisted bond with Victor. The similarities were almost eerie.
Proud and arrogant, Sesshomaru despised his half-human brother. He bore a deep resentment over the unfair inheritance left behind by their father after his death.
Their father, a powerful dog demon, had crafted two legendary swords from his fangs: Tessaiga and Tenseiga. He left Tessaiga to Inuyasha and bequeathed Tenseiga to Sesshomaru.
Tenseiga was a sword that couldn't kill. Sesshomaru had initially seen it as useless—more like a memento than a weapon.
So, he set his sights on the other relic, Tessaiga. Desperate to claim it, he battled Inuyasha repeatedly. But the sword chose Inuyasha as its master. Time after time, Sesshomaru failed to take it.
At one point, Inuyasha nearly killed Sesshomaru using Tessaiga. It was then that the so-called "Tenseiga" revealed its true power—Tenseiga opened a protective barrier to save Sesshomaru's life.
Not long after, Sesshomaru discovered another astonishing ability: Tenseiga could bring the dead back to life.
Logan watched silently as Sesshomaru, moved by a rare moment of compassion, used Tenseiga to resurrect a poor human girl. His eyes widened in disbelief.
The first thought that sprang to mind was—if he had this blade, could he bring back the old bald guy?
But then he paused. That didn't make sense. He wasn't in the future yet—Charles was still alive and very much not bald.
Regardless, the blade had shaken him. Even with his incredible healing ability, Logan had never encountered something that outright defied death.
Studying the sword more closely, he uncovered more secrets. Tenseiga allowed its wielder to see the death spirits that hovered around corpses—and kill them to resurrect the dead.
But there were limits. A person could only be revived once. If they died again, there would be no second chance.
Soon after, Logan's consciousness left the strange world and returned to his own body. His mind now held a wealth of information—or memories—about Tenseiga.
The version of Tenseiga given to him by the quiz game was a limited edition, different from the one Sesshomaru wielded. The rules of his world were different, so the blade had to be modified to work.
This version had already acknowledged Logan as its master. Only he could use its powers—whether creating a barrier or reviving the dead. To anyone else, it would just be a normal Katana.
However, his version couldn't see the spirits of death, and its resurrection method was different too.
The body had to be intact. The death could not have occurred more than 48 hours ago. And to bring someone back, Logan had to stab the blade into the dead person's heart.
Most crucially, reviving someone came with a cost.
Each resurrection drained a large amount of Logan's life force. While his healing factor helped offset most of the damage, it didn't completely negate it.
After each use, Logan would be left weak for a time.
The blade's barrier ability also consumed life force. Still, its power was impressive—it could block not only bullets and missiles, but also magic and even Charles' telepathy.
In theory, if Logan was willing to sacrifice enough of his life force, the barrier could withstand anything—even a meteor strike. But of course, that was just theory.
All in all, Logan wasn't sure how to feel about this reward.
Since returning from the last quiz game, he had already saved Silver Fox, changing the timeline and preventing her death. For now, he didn't have anyone he needed to resurrect.
"Hey, Logan," Erik said, watching as Logan opened his eyes and sat in deep thought. "That katana of yours... it's not just a fancy sword, is it?"
Snapping out of it, Logan glanced at Erik, noticing that Charles also looked curious. He briefly explained the nature of Tenseiga.
When they heard that the katana could bring the dead back to life, both Charles and Erik looked at each other in utter shock.
Unlike Logan, they didn't have near-immortality or regeneration. The idea of reversing death hit them hard.
"Incredible..." Charles said, taking a deep breath. "Logan, if that's real... you might just become Death's worst nightmare. But listen—never reveal that sword to others. You'll draw endless trouble."
"Obviously. I'm not stupid," Logan rolled his eyes.
Without another word, he casually plunged the katana into his own chest.
Before their startled eyes, the sword—scabbard and all—vanished into his body.
"...Was that part of the reward too?" Erik muttered, staring at him. "Logan, is your body some kind of dimensional storage now? What, are you gonna start pulling furniture out of your chest next?"
Logan shot him a look. "Don't give me that face. It's just the sword."
