Chapter 782 - Chapter 781: A New Round of the Game Begins

Charles rubbed his chin and added, "Wade Wilson… If I remember correctly, he showed up in Logan's future footage—the guy with Adamantium implants and a knack for using katanas."

Spider-Man No. 3 asked curiously, "If the mission worlds are now part of this quiz game, then what about the people from the animated world where we rescued Pietro? Could they have been selected too?"

"It's possible."

Tony grabbed a chair and sat down, resting his chin in his hand. "I'm more curious about Thor. That guy's been acting mysterious lately. No idea what he's been up to."

Bruce glanced at him. "He's busy wooing his girlfriend, Probably not happy about having his alone time ruined."

Tony gave Bruce a weird look. "Hey, how do you know that? Are you spying on him? No—are you spying on all of us?!"

Bruce was silent for a moment. He neither confirmed nor denied it. He simply said, "I heard it from Nick Fury."

The implication was clear—yes, he was monitoring them, but the focus was on the bald one-eyed spy, who kept tabs on every superhero in the Avengers anyway...

Tony rolled his eyes, clearly annoyed, and didn't want to stick around. He patted Bruce Banner and asked him to send him back.

Marvel Main Universe

Becca Butcher had just arrived at Aunt May's place with her son, planning to settle in for a bit. But before they could even get comfortable, the street outside erupted in excited cheers, and the TV broke into a special broadcast.

Curious, Becca walked over to the window and saw enormous light screens stretching across the sky. She couldn't help but marvel at the world's advanced technology—projecting something so massive right in the middle of the city.

But the moment she spotted her ex-husband's face on the screen, her expression changed.

"Billy…"

"Mom, why are you crying?" Ryan ran over and hugged her tightly when he saw her silently shedding tears.

Aunt May also walked over and sighed, "The quiz game has started again. Thankfully, my Peter wasn't chosen this time."

"Quiz game?" Becca wiped her eyes and turned to look at her.

She had heard the term before from Charles and the others, but hadn't paid it much attention.

Seeing Becca's confusion, Aunt May patiently explained the whole thing to her and even pulled out her phone to show videos of past quiz games. In no time, Becca got the gist of it.

She stared at the screen, eyes full of complex emotions. "So all the truth will come out… I don't know if that's a good thing or not."

Eternal Space

Thor ruffled his hair in frustration. Just moments before being selected, he'd been about to get intimate with his girlfriend. He didn't even get to kiss her before—whoosh—he got sucked into this place.

Honestly, if he had the choice, he wouldn't want to be part of this quiz game. Sure, other players had gained all kinds of benefits from it…

But Thor? First, his hammer got turned into some bubblegum-pink mess, and then the quiz game broadcasted the infamous scene of him getting thoroughly smashed by the Hulk.

That footage was still trending on every social media platform on Earth—and probably across the whole galaxy.

The mighty God of Thunder reduced to a cosmic joke…

He finally managed to win one round, only to be rewarded with an electric rodent that caused more trouble than help—especially when he was trying to impress a girl.

To Thor, just keeping an eye on the future clips the quiz showed was enough. Actually playing? Way less fun than cuddling with a pretty girl.

Still, now that he was chosen again, his competitive spirit kicked in. He looked around—most of the others looked stunned, wary, or just plain panicked.

Bunch of rookies. Nothing to worry about.

He chuckled. "Listen up! I, son of Odin, the mighty Thor, will defeat every last one of you and win this game!"

Standing next to him was Stephen Strange, who looked at him like he was an idiot.

Thor raised an eyebrow. "Stephen, even though we're friends, I'm not going to hold back. No choice—the winner's spot only fits one, and that's me!"

"…I have no idea what you're talking about," Stephen said, trying to keep calm. He took a few deep breaths before speaking again. "Hey, could someone explain what the hell is going on here?"

Thor peered at him through the golden light pillar and finally noticed something strange—Stephen wasn't wearing his usual wizard robes. Instead, he was dressed sharply in a suit, like he was out on a serious date.

Thor frowned. "You're not a first-time player, are you? You should be the one explaining the rules to those newbies."

Thanks to Wanda and the Spider-Men in earlier rounds, veteran players had developed a sort of unwritten rule: when there were more new players, someone should explain how the quiz game worked.

Thor, naturally, had no interest in doing that himself—and was trying to pass the job off to Stephen.

Unfortunately, Stephen was clearly clueless. He was sweating bullets and looked genuinely panicked. "You know me? But I've never seen you before in my life. What is this place? Oh God, I've been abducted by aliens, haven't I? Damn it—I had a perfect date lined up, and now this crap happens!"

So, turns out this Stephen was also dragged in during a date. That made Thor feel slightly better.

He actually took a moment to think, stared at Stephen for a long while, then suddenly shouted, "I get it! You're not my Stephen! Hey, buddy—tell me, are you Doctor Strange? Have you been to Kamar-Taj?"

"What Doctor Strange? Kamar-Taj? And Thor—what even are you talking about?! I don't understand any of this! Is this some kind of alien movie shoot or something?!"

Stephen was on the verge of a breakdown.

Thor rolled his eyes. "Alright, alright, calm down. I know what's going on now. Listen, Stephen, here's what you need to know—this is a quiz game. See that big screen up there? Soon it's going to play footage of our future—yeah, actual glimpses of our future. Then it'll ask questions about what we saw, and we have to answer them. Once the game ends, we all get to go back home safely. So what you—and everyone else—needs to do is stay calm and just answer the questions. Got it?"

As he spoke, Thor gestured broadly, signaling for everyone to chill out. Then he gave a quick, bare-bones explanation of the quiz game setup.
