Since he didn't really want Yizou to recall (if she could at all) that brutal scene from his memory, Motan didn't press further about her nonexistent injury. Instead, he started asking about the situation from a broader perspective, as he didn't even know where he was at the moment.
So Yizou did her best to concisely relay the situation to Motan as she knew it.
