Although both she and her best friend Ana Ta Lasha are Double Leaf's mentors, Diana has always felt inadequate in this role. Despite Double Leaf's enthusiasm for studying magic, she has hardly shown any achievement in the area of astrology, which Diana excels in. Even though the girl's grasp of fundamental theories is solid, there has been little practical application, leaving Diana with a sense of frustration.
Even though Ana is indeed the official mentor of Double Leaf, and Diana is, at most, just a half-mentor or akin to a temporary guardian, she has always been passionate about 'educating Double Leaf.'
The reason is simple; having a student like Double Leaf is simply blissful.
