Unable to gasp and unable to scream, Rune and Shiro pressed their backs to the wall as a pair of tangled Mountain Tunnelers tumbled down the mountainside. Their hearts pounded in their chests as the huge beasts missed them by a hair's breath. Just a little more and Rune and Shiro would have been crushed against the rock.
'What do we do...what do we do....'
Rune's thoughts swam and churned in his mind. He mulled over various possibilities as Shiro clung to his arm, but nothing particularly helpful came to mind. In the end, he was only able to come to a single conclusion.
'We can't stay here.'
