Chapter 5 - Chapter 4 – Awakening of the Sleeper

[Ding. Origin Energy Gathered: 0.000000100000000%]

[Ding. The First Branch has been fully strengthened by Origin Energy.]

[Ding. Due to surplus stabilization, the Void has naturally generated two blank universes for the Host.]

[Ding. Sleep Timer: One Billion Years — Completed.]

[Ding. Waking Host…]

MC / POV

Darkness.

Soft.

Warm.

Not the suffocating void from before, but something gentler — like floating inside endless night wrapped in silence.

Then sensation returned.

Weight.

Texture.

Awareness.

My thoughts stirred slowly, rising from deep unconsciousness like something ancient being pulled from the ocean floor.

I opened my eyes.

Blinding light greeted me.

"…Ahh—shit…"

My vision swam. The world twisted slightly, reality struggling to stabilize around my waking perception.

For a few seconds, I felt completely disoriented.

Like my mind hadn't fully loaded yet.

After five long seconds, clarity snapped into place.

I was lying in an enormous bed.

Silk sheets.

Silver canopy.

Ceiling high above, engraved with shifting cosmic patterns that mirrored the movements of distant galaxies.

"…Right."

"The castle."

I pushed myself upright, wings shifting instinctively behind my back. The motion felt natural — like I had always possessed them.

Stretching slightly, I threw off the covers and stepped onto the polished silver floor.

The air was cool.

Still.

Perfect.

And then—

"Good afternoon, Sir."

Alfred's voice echoed gently through the chamber.

"Did you have a pleasant sleep, Sir?"

I smirked.

"Good afternoon, Alfred."

"…Yeah."

"I feel amazing."

And strangely refreshed.

For someone who had just slept for a billion years.

The Report of Eternity

"What happened while I was asleep?"

A soft chime responded.

[Ding.]

Alfred materialized beside me — not as a full body, but as a refined projection of light shaped into a polite, well-dressed gentleman.

Because of course he would present himself like that.

"Sir," Alfred began calmly, "one hundred million years after you entered sleep, seventy-two percent of planetary bodies within the First Branch became habitable."

"…That fast?"

"Yes, Sir. Your universal laws are extremely efficient."

He continued.

"Three hundred million years later, souls began to manifest and inhabit those planets."

I crossed my arms.

"And intelligent life?"

Alfred paused briefly.

"…Minimal, Sir."

"Most souls developed physical vessels, but none achieved advanced cognitive evolution."

"…Seriously?"

"Yes, Sir."

"They possess life."

"They possess death."

"They possess form."

"But not yet higher intelligence."

I sighed.

"…So they're basically cosmic NPCs."

"A crude but accurate description, Sir."

He went on.

"Six hundred million years after your sleep began, soul-to-body development stabilized. Reincarnation cycles are functioning perfectly."

"And now?"

"There are approximately one million semi-intelligent beings across the First Branch."

"…Semi?"

"They are sentient, Sir. However, their civilizations remain primitive."

"…Hmm."

I rubbed my chin.

"They're slow."

"Extremely slow, Sir."

Stepping Into a Changed Universe

"Okay."

"Let's take a look."

Third / POV

Aarth walked through the grand halls of the silver castle.

Footsteps echoed against walls that shimmered faintly with Origin Energy. Vast windows displayed breathtaking views of the Reincarnation Realm — endless white plains, glowing rivers of soul essence, distant gates radiating multicolored light.

Yet despite its beauty—

Something felt off.

Empty.

Silent.

Still.

As if the castle itself had been patiently waiting for its creator to awaken.

Aarth stepped beyond the massive entrance.

His crimson-white wings unfolded slightly as he gazed across the dimension.

"…Hmm."

"It feels lonely."

Then—

His eyes lit up.

"Ohh."

"I have an idea."

MC / POV

"Alfred."

"Yes, Sir?"

"How many souls are born per day?"

"Approximately five thousand, Sir."

"…Only?"

"Yes, Sir."

"…That's boring."

Alfred remained silent.

Which was probably the polite AI equivalent of judgment.

A New Project

"System Command."

[Ding.]

"Create a personal dimension."

Specifications formed instantly in my mind.

"A three-thousand-kilometer planet."

"Fully habitable."

"Stable ecosystem."

"Balanced laws."

[Ding. Creating Personal Dimension…]

[Ding. Planetary Body Size: 3,000 km — Confirmed.]

[Ding. Atmospheric Stability — Confirmed.]

[Ding. Dimensional Shell — Stabilized.]

[Ding. Creation Complete.]

"…Nice."

Third / POV

Reality folded.

Space bent.

And Aarth vanished.

MC / POV

/Vvong/

I reappeared within my newly created dimension.

Before me floated a small yet magnificent planet.

Blue oceans.

Emerald continents.

Clouds drifting peacefully across its skies.

"…Damn…"

Even after creating galaxies, this still hit different.

Because this wasn't just creation.

This was design.

Intent.

Experimentation.

Population Transfer

"Alfred."

"Yes, Sir?"

"Move all one million intelligent beings here."

A brief pause.

"…All of them, Sir?"

"All."

[Ding. Executing Transfer…]

Across the First Branch, countless beings vanished.

No explosions.

No destruction.

Just silent relocation across dimensions.

Third / POV

Within seconds—

The planet transformed.

Lights flickered across continents.

Cities appeared.

Mountains echoed with unfamiliar life.

Oceans felt the presence of new observers.

A world that had been silent moments ago now pulsed with existence.

MC / POV

"Hehe…"

"Perfect."

"And Alfred…"

"Yes, Sir?"

"I want every soul that dies here…"

"…to reincarnate back onto this planet."

Silence.

Then—

[Ding. Reincarnation Override Applied.]

[Ding. Soul Return Cycle — Locked.]

The Beginning of Something Strange

The wind brushed against my face as I hovered above the planet.

A closed system.

A controlled reality.

An isolated civilization sandbox.

"…Let's see what happens when evolution can't escape."

Alfred's voice remained calm.

"A fascinating experiment, Sir."

"Oh, this isn't an experiment."

A slow grin spread across my face.

"This is entertainment."
