Ruby Mercer was furious!
She struggled to push him away, and because of the excessive movement, she hit her wound, causing her face to turn pale with pain.
"Alvin Hargreaves, you piece of trash!"
"Why should I be sacrificed to save your Hargreaves from ruin?!"
"And, you sleeping with other women outside is disgusting! Sending me to Christopher Moore's bed is a perversion of your Hargreaves family, what's it got to do with me?"
Ruby Mercer was speechless, "This marriage was a mistake from the start, it has only given me pain, only torment. I thought if I persisted, you'd eventually turn back to me, but I found I was wrong! You even resorted to drugging Christopher Moore and ruined my reputation!"
The last sentence slipped out of Ruby Mercer's mouth before she could stop it.
She looked at Alvin Hargreaves, afraid he would discover something, nervously swallowing saliva.
