Christopher Moore drew Ruby Mercer close, gently placating her.

Ruby glanced around; with so many colleagues watching, she felt a bit shy!
So, she twitched the corner of her mouth and followed him.
Then she leaned in to his ear and secretly cursed, "Christopher, your nouveau riche face is really asking for it!"
Christopher replied, "Next time, I'll use the face of a domineering CEO!"
Which earned him a pinch to the waist from Ruby!
"Stop your slick talk!"
This sudden waist pinching provoked a muffled groan and a sexy low growl from the man!
The entire restaurant's attention was already on them, and with Christopher's "yelp," the whole place exploded!
Ruby glared fiercely at Christopher, pulled his arm away, and hurried upstairs on her own.
Christopher rubbed his nose and immediately followed!
"Ruby, I really didn't do it on purpose just now!"
