Ruby Mercer hears the heavy sound of breathing on the other end, panting heavily, clearly showing the other's anger, yet it doesn't stir any waves in Ruby Mercer's heart. She calmly says:
"Father, have you finished? Is there anything else? I need to go shoot."
Hardy Mercer is so enraged by Ruby Mercer's words that he becomes distressed, unable to stop coughing, the coarse coughs growing louder.
"Honey, honey..."
Ruby Mercer hears chaotic footsteps on the other end of the call, her curiosity sparking a guess in her mind,
"Ruby Mercer! Are you happy now? You've angered your father into passing out!" Mrs. Mercer picks up the phone, gritting her teeth and mocking Ruby Mercer.
Ruby Mercer lets out a disdainful laugh, "Mrs. Mercer, isn't this exactly as you wished for? Why bother pretending?"
Mrs. Mercer is momentarily speechless, "You, you..." Ruby Mercer can't be bothered to say more to this foul-faced woman and forcefully presses the end call button.
