It's hard for most people to imagine the origins of Kurdish female soldiers; everyone sees the fierce courage of these women, but little do they know that these young ladies initially joined the army simply because they were homeless, choosing to be part of a group to find warmth.
However, as the war progressed, the flames and death forced them through a brutal selection and elimination process, transforming a group of girls who had faced the trials of life and death into mature warriors.
