Austin's phone starts ringing so he gets up to answer it. After about 20 seconds he sits back down.
Austin: "Had to take that phone call real quick."
Erika: "Who was it?"
Austin: "Just my friend, Rem."
Dakota sees a golden opportunity: "Who's rem?"
Esmarie: "Pfff..: Cough. Cough." She snorts while drinking her tea, nearly choking. "Haha. I should've known you were an anime fan, Dakota."
Dakota: "What's that supposed to mean?"
Austin and Erika cover their mouths and look away, trying not to laugh. Suddenly, Esmarie's laughter is silenced by a loud thunk and several people making a commotion. They get up to see what's going on.
Esmarie: "A fight?"
Austin runs over to break them up, but is shoved away by the attacker almost causing him to trip backwards.
Marlon: "You want what he's having?"
Dakota: "It's that guy from the gate entrance."
Austin: "That's enough!" He runs back in, successfully pulling Marlon off the guy he's wailing on.
Marlon: "Get your hands off me." He yanks himself away from Austin.
A teacher swiftly runs to the scene: "What's going on?"
Student 1: "That guy started it. Marlon was just minding his business and he started a fight," he says while pointing to the guy with a broken nose on the floor.
The students start agreeing. To some people's surprise, Marlon wasn't the one at fault here.
Teacher: "At any rate, you're both coming with me," he demands while pulling the beaten-up student off the floor.
Marlon: "Tch."
Erika: "Well that was something."
Esmarie: "Sure was."
Dakota: "Remind me not to get on that guy's bad side."

The morning and afternoon go by and they make it through their first day of lecture classes.
Dakota: "Good to know they still make us introduce ourselves in the Hunter Academy."
Erika: "Haha. You never did like doing that."
Dakota: "You on the other loved to overcharge. The teachers always had to cut you short."
Erika: "Hehe."
Dakota: 'The two of us have entirely different personalities, people like us wouldn't normally be friends. Only reason we are is cuz we both know Chifuyu,' he thinks to himself.
Erika: "What're you thinking about?"
Dakota: "What? Oh, nothing," he replies a bit spooked. 'Note to self. Don't be so obviously lost in thought.'
They arrive to their practical class. It takes place in an open field of grass. These classes have at most 30-40 students in them and are taught by a 1st Rank Hunter. The moment Dakota and Erika got there, it only took a second for their eyes to get glued to a girl sitting on the ground stretching. Her figure was outlined radiantly by the sun as its beams shined directly on her, her red hair glistening while being blown by the wind. Feeling their gaze, the girl looked over her shoulder and saw them. She smiled at them before getting up and walking towards them.
?: "I believe this is my first time seeing the two of you. Are you transfer students?"
Erika: "Yes, we are!" She says all surprised.
Dakota: 'She says that like she knows what every single student in her year looks like.'
?: "That's wonderful. I'm Sylvie Scarlet. It's a pleasure to meet you."
Erika: "I'm Erika Tohsaka. And this is…"
Dakota: "Dakota Smith."
Sylvie: "Welcome to the Hunter Academy."
