Gu Nian's eyes darted around, and she ran over toward the back. After just a few steps, she saw Cuihua coming back up.
The women and some young children were mostly cutting wild grass while some slightly older ones were digging up trees. Luckily, the trees on this hillside weren't too dense, only a few grew particularly sturdy. Only the exceptionally strong men would carry the trees from the mountain down.
Cuihua could be considered an exception.
"Cuihua!" Gu Nian shouted loudly, and only then did Cuihua stop and come over to Gu Nian.
Cuihua furrowed her eyebrows as if hesitating on how to address Gu Nian. Remembering her parents' advice at home, she finally spoke, "Miss, is there something you need?"
This salute of 'Miss' made Gu Nian feel a bit uncomfortable. "Don't be so formal, I call you Cuihua, so you can just call me by my name."
If she hadn't lived longer than Cuihua in her past life, it would have been more appropriate to call her sister more politely.
