The Qingfeng Compass can sense the location of Qing Qingni, but it shouldn't be able to sense Qing Qingni in the Beast Taming Codex.
If she wants to stay safely in the Secret Realm for a few more days, she could always keep Qing Qingni inside the Beast Taming Codex, though she's reluctant, as Qing Qingni's attributes are mostly related to wind.
And the wind is the freest of all.
