"Lefti, Sola, Juju, Femi, the four of una go visit Vanessa family silento. Escort them to drop off the money and make sure say you kill any police or army wey dey follow them. Smoke and Ada, you'll follow me to collect the money tomorrow. Potty, Dele, Naki, una go drop this girl for house. Sola and Faye," he said to the last boy and girl, "una go hold down the fort here. Any interference or you no hear from me, blow up the house and take the girl."

"Yes boss," they all chorus.

"Potty, Dele and Naki, until you hear my order say we don collect the money, no let this girl step out. I'll tell you when to release her. Everyone must make sure say their mask dey their face throughout the mission and I no go tolerate any see finish," he looked at Lefti.

"I don hear, Ola." She said,"Sola, Juju, Femi, make we dey go." They left and the rest of the meeting dispersed except Ola and Ada.

"What are you waiting for?" He asked Ada

"Let's go to bed, Ola," she said. This bitch is shameless. Damn!

"What do you mean by that? Why is sleep on your mind at this time. I give you mission, you dey talk about bed."

"I didn't say we should sleep, baby. I just want to help you cool off before the operation," she said with a seductive glance and then winked. Is this girl that cheap and shameless? Wow!

"Ada, leave! I'm busy!" He yelled at her.

She left immediately.

"Why are you such an asshole to your girlfriend?

He chuckled. "Girlfriend? You're funny. I don't have a girlfriend. She's just a... how do I put it, friend with benefit." He sat beside me on the couch and I shifted to the edge. It was futile trying to get away cos he only moved closer and I was trapped.

"So a girl gives you her body and holds you in such high esteem to the extent of calling you her man and you just dismiss her as a friend with benefit? You're outrageous." To think that that girl was ready to fight me for him and he thinks her a prostitute.

"Ada doesn't like me or hold me in high esteem as you say. She just likes the fact that she fu...sorry, sleeps with the boss."

"What kind of local boss do you think kidnapping makes you?" This guy is such a huge jerk

"Vanessa, the journey's been rough and ugly but we've tried and we're still trying. I grew up on the street not a mansion. I learned to fend for myself as soon as my dad died. You see, my dad died at a political rally when I was four years old. That same year, my mum married another man but this guy hated me and all of us. He sold my elder sister two years later. I was six and she was just twelve but he gave her out to sex traders. I caught him during the exchange and I'm the only one who knows. He made it look like a missing persons case." He sighed.

"He threatened death for me if I told my mother but I did. I told her and then left home that day. I came to Ogbomosho and that was when I met Damilola. He was four years older than me and used to the street life. I stayed with him in an uncompleted building for a while. We moved often and we had to hustle to eat. Steal, get into fights and I don't mean the cute ones you watch on TV. I mean real, bloody fights. We lost so many lives but we had each other's backs. We formed our school where everyone taught each other and learnt what they didn't know." He paused and looked at my expression before he continued. "We had a leader, he was from the north, Musa was his name and the three of us were inseparable. When I was ten, my stepdad died and I had to take care of my family so we started a gang. We would steal from rich people that come to this area and together evade them. About six years later, we stopped and decided to try legal living. I suffered for two years doing heavy jobs like 'lebuke', wheelbarrow pushing, dirty packing, 'condemn iron'  until Musa brought one girl home in a sack bag. We contacted her parents and they gave us a whopping sum of ten million naira. That was the highest sum I had ever seen. We recruited people like Lefti, Area mama and the rest of them and kidnapping became a way of life. We've been doing this for seven years and I have never met any victim like you."

Oh! Wow. I certainly didn't expect that response "What's with me?" I asked

"Everything. Most of the girls cry throughout their stay here and the boys act as if they were about to die. You're bold, you ask questions I've never been asked before and your beauty is touching. You..."

"If you think I'm beautiful, you should see my twin sister. She's just the epitome of beauty. And I'm not kidding, no guy glances my way again once they set eyes on her and most of my exes broke up with me to go after her. Good thing she's a good sister because she'd make the perfect boyfriend snatcher."

He just stared at me while I kept narrating.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" I had to ask.

"If your sister is the epitome of beauty, then you are beauty itself. I've seen your sister and honestly, I don't think she's up to this extent🤏 compared to you. If those guys thought she was more beautiful, then they are blind and foolish. Everything about you sparkles and you are the most fun and the craziest girl I've come across and I mean that in a good way."

OMG! MG is literally making me blush. I feel...
