Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Abusing Scum and Slapping Faces 1

Gu Nianyang charged into the exam hall with determination. For such a major exam, students must enter ten minutes early, and Gu Nianyang made it just as the bell rang.

Class teacher Li Jianwen looked displeased, "Gu Nianyang, your poor grades are one thing, but how could you almost be late for such an important exam?"

Gu Nianyang, sweating profusely, apologized, "I'm sorry, Mr. Li, I'll be more careful next time."

Li Jianwen was taken aback and curiously gave Gu Nianyang a once-over.

This student has been a loner since the start of the school year, never greeting teachers or classmates, failing exams without a peep, always with her hair down and head drooping, looking scruffy and gloomy. But today, she's somehow different?

Gu Nianyang, with an unfazed expression, found her seat by exam number. As soon as she sat down, a shocked voice came from the freckled girl next to her, "Gu Nianyang, why are you here?"

Gu Nianyang glanced at the girl, quickly sorting out her information in her mind.

Yang Haiyan, the class's study monitor from the original protagonist's class, and Gu Youlan's close friend, took advantage of the original protagonist's foolishness. And because of Gu Youlan's deliberate instigation, she often bullied and pranked the original protagonist both openly and covertly.

Gu Nianyang's eyes flashed with sharpness, "Today's the preliminary exam, shouldn't I be here?"

Yang Haiyan gave a nervous smile, "No, I was just asking casually..."

What's going on? Gu Youlan clearly told her that Gu Nianyang wouldn't be coming to the exam today!

Moreover, the stupid pig actually tied her hair up, making her features surprisingly look better than Yang's. Most importantly, she dared to talk back, which is a stark contrast to her timid self from days ago!

Yang Haiyan stared intensely at Gu Nianyang, her chest heaving with anger, eager to jump up and hit Gu Nianyang, but she restrained herself due to the exam setting.

Gu Nianyang certainly understood Yang Haiyan's feelings; she discreetly smiled.

Surprised, aren't you? But don't rush; this is just the beginning. The real drama is yet to come. She won't let anyone who ever harmed the original protagonist go!

The exam began—

Since this was only a preliminary exam and not the official college entrance exam, they only tested Chinese, Math, and English. To save costs, the school merged key questions from the three subjects into one paper.

In her past life, Gu Nianyang had never taken the college entrance exam but had studied under an old professor for several years. Moreover, she had a photographic memory—the high school curriculum was child's play for her.

Gu Nianyang effortlessly complete the exam paper perfectly. She didn't plan to intentionally lower her scores to avoid suspicion due to the original protagonist's poor grades.

She had already thought it through: if anyone doubted her results, she'd claim that Gu Youlan, not wanting her own excellent grades to be overshadowed, pressured and coerced her into scoring poorly, thus placing all blame on Gu Youlan. This would tarnish Gu Youlan's reputation, killing two birds with one stone!

Heh, Gu Youlan did so many vicious things to the original protagonist in the past. Gu Nianyang must let her taste the feeling of being misunderstood, despised, and unable to justify herself.

Gu Nianyang handed in her paper early and left, ready for the confrontation at home.

At noon, she had dealt with Wang Ying, who was sure to be furious enough to want to kill her.

Additionally, since Wang Ying failed to stop her from taking the exam, she surely wouldn't be satisfied. Gu Nianyang guessed that Wang Ying would make a big deal out of her hitting incident, rallying the neighbors to scold and lecture her. Then Wang Ying would proceed to force her to drop out.

Sure enough, as soon as she reached the gate, she heard Wang Ying's shrill voice crying loudly inside the yard.

"Oh heavens, my ill-fated Gu Nianyang! I only asked her to help with some chores, and she slapped me, pushed me to the ground, and beat me up. Now my body hurts so much I can't straighten up. Fellow neighbors, please judge! What children beat their parents like this? What did I do to deserve this!"
