Nianyang replied coolly, "Thank you for your kind words, Yang Saozi, but I still need to clean up, so you should head back. We'll chat some other time when we have the chance."
Yang Mei's forced friendly expression instantly fell apart. She had lingered for so long just to get Nianyang to share some food. But since Nianyang was showing no intention of doing so and even wanted her to leave, she decided to be direct,
"Little Saozi, I saw you brought so much stuff. It must all be yummy food from your home. Since we're neighbors, why not share a bit with me as a welcome gift?"
So, this was the real reason she had been talking for so long; Yang Saozi just wanted to take advantage of her!
