After William cried in pain, everyone's heart was in their mouth. Kay kept looking at Journee, who kept caressing William's hand to ease the pain and kept crying her eyes out. She even scolded him to her heart's content. His heart was filled with all the displays of love he was seeing right before his eyes. Both father and daughter loved each other so much that they could not see each other in pain and crying.
"Yeah! You are absolutely not going to talk to her for one week if she hits anyone, I can see that now, I can see that extremely clearly," commented Kay and rolled his eyes, hard.
William looked at Journee, and she looked at him, and both scoffed together and started laughing. Kay shook his head in disbelief, and he too started laughing. The whole room filled with laughter.
"Please don't get hurt ever again," said Journee with all seriousness.
"Never, dear, never. I just… couldn't… handle the truth. Sorry to scare you," William kissed her forehead.
