"Because I'm compatible…" Shinji utters.
"Compatible, what do you mean?" Aki asks.
"It means, I don't need Diablo…" Shinji's tearful expression changes to a true demonic smile.
"I AM NOT WEAK" Shinji breathes heavier and more aggressively before shouting.
His shouting alerted the weary Nebula, who was struggling to contact her comrades, still enhanced by the power of her holy skill.
"I don't… I DON'T UNDERSTAND!? THIS IS REALLY FUCKED UP SHINJI!" Kasumi speaks her true feelings. Aki briefly nods with a mildly shocked expression.
"It was the only way," Shinji says, as he finishes eating the last of his parents ashes, "To activate my ability."
Absorb allows the user whom consumes the remains of a recently dead individual to gain a number of the abilities that they had whilst they were equivalent to or less than the class of the user. Since Shinji's true class is B-, the only abilities he can gain are ones that Kuragari, and Ikehara, who's ashes he also ate due to not knowing who's were who's, had whilst B- class or less. It also refills the user's MP with the same premise.
"GET OUT OF HERE!" Shinji shouts, continuing to breathe heavily, "She is coming."
Despite their reluctance, knowing the severity of the danger they would be in, Aki and Kasumi fled from Shinji and called out to Diablo on the way.
"SHINJI WILL WIN!" Kasumi shouts at Diablo, who was tailing Nebula whom had started to fly off towards Shinji at an increasing speed. Diablo backs down, feeling that his presence was no longer necessary.
"You'll get what you deserve, disgusting creature." He speaks in repulse towards Nebula. "Instant Teleportation!" He says, activating the ability that condenses him into a tiny black and red portal, in the blink of an eye, before it disappears completely.
Nebula smirked as she sensed the complete disappearance of Diablo's aura, realising the use of Instant Teleportation. "Only came to scare me, eh?" she laughs, closing in on Shinji, who has just finished fully regenerating from the last attack. He stood and took a deep breath, but his state of mind had already deteriorated to the point of no return - for a mortal, that is. With another grin, demonic punishment enhanced further and Shinji sprouted his wings yet again and dashed towards the incoming Nebula.
"CLAW OF DEMON!" He screams, before all ten of his fingers morph into long, sharp, dark-magic-infused, black claws. He makes first contact by slashing straight through Nebula's light magic barrier, used as a countermeasure to the attack. Shocked by Shinji's strength returning, Nebula charges her strongest attack out of infuriation, wanting to finish him for good.
"YOU ARE WEAK! THIS ISN'T FAIR! ROT IN HELL YOU MONSTER!!!" She screams.
"Shut the fuck up" Shinji groans, gritting his teeth with such intensity that they start breaking.
"DIVINE VENGEANCE!" Nebula summons an enormous, widespread, concentrated beam of pure Celestial magic from the sky that instantly blasts down towards Shinji - it was too wide to avoid, and would reduce him to ashes. However, before it made contact, Shinji used his new skill petrification to turn the entire thing stone, allowing him to escape the attack radius. Since the attack is so powerful, it doesn't last very long; the petrified attack, stuck in mid air, defying all laws of gravity, cracks and releases fully after a few seconds.
"WHA-" Nebula gasps in disbelief, "IMPOSSIBLE!"
"You just don't get it do you, Celestial scum, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR AN IMMORTAL, HAHAHAHAHA!" Shinji laughs, in full confidence of his victory.
Nebula, who's MP levels were once again on the low after her MP-heavy attacks, this time without her holy skill to save her, was in a poor situation. She had to make use of her stamina and boosted strength to stop Shinji - an almost impossible task.
"Tch, HOLY LIGHT BEAM!" Nebula charges towards Shinji, casting the magic attack.
"PETRIFICATION!" Shinji retaliated, Petrifying the attack, as he did so before.
"HOLY LIGHT-"
"PETRIFICATION" Shinji doesn't allow Nebula to attack, annoying her beyond her usual limits.
"FUCK YOU! FUCK YOU! FUCK YOUUUUUU!" Nebula loses whatever composure she had completely. "FIRST THAT DEMON LORD KILLS MY PARTNERS, NOW THIS DIRTY, LITTLE, DEMON SHIT STAIN OVERPOWERS ME!?" She outbursts, having figured out the situation, based on her measure of Diablo's strength.
"BE QUIET, BITCH!" Shinji blasts a petrification beam towards Nebula's mouth, but it burns up in her Recharge boosted, physical aura.
Nebula smirked, believing to have witnessed a fatal flaw in Shinji's petrification attack - she was wrong.
"MP PURGE!" Shinji shouts, as he holds his hand out towards Nebula, wearing a devilish smile once again. Suddenly, an invisible stream of MP, that the both of them could sense, was retracted from Nebula and into Shinji's palm, where it was destroyed and dispersed.
"WHAT THE-" Nebula retreats back, in which the stream is severed and the attack ends. Although it does drain the opponents MP, it uses up a lot of the users and has a relatively short range and is therefore risky to use for longer periods.
This attack greatly affects Nebula, severely reducing her chance at victory.
"YOU REALLY THINK YOU CAN GET AWAY THAT EASILY, HUH!?" Shinji taunts as he charges towards Nebula, with claw of demon activated.
Shinji restlessly attacks Nebula, who tries her very best to defend with her magic defences, whilst also trying to ration her MP to stand a chance. After a consistent barrage, Shinji notices that Nebula's boosted aura begins to waver.
"BLACK VIPER SCYTHE!" Shinji slashes across nebula's torso, causing an undeniable deep and damaging wound that fountained with blood.
"GAHHH! N-NO, NOT LIKE THIS!!!" Nebula realises her position, "C-CELESTIAL SPHERE!!!" Nebula uses her remaining MP and works into the reserves.
"PETRIFICA-"
"OMEGA LIGHT SWORD!" Nebula hastily slices off Shinjis lower arms, using the sword between her feet, to prevent the attack.
"Tch, your last ditch effort?" Shinji mocks, " I CAN STILL USE MY FEET, BITCH!" The Celestial sphere soars into Shinji's Black Viper Scythe, which is made up of part of his MP, destroying it and splitting the sphere into two smaller, avoidable ones.
"THIS-THIS CANT BE HAPPENING!!!" NEBULA EXCLAIMS IN ANGUISH.
"HAHAHAHA, BUT IT IS! IT IS, CELESTIAL!!" Shinji's smile almost exceeds the constrictions of his own face.
"N-NO, I WONT LET YOU!!!" Nebula pleads.
"YOU DON'T HAVE A CHOICE!" He screams in confidence. Shinji stands, now on the ground, above Nebula, with his regenerating arm outstretched.
"PETRIFICATION!"
