Chapter 109 - Words that ring a bell.

Geb thought of Iah's reply to his request earlier as he went on his way to the cave to meet with his father.

"I would like that you extend the time of your crescent moon," he had asked her earlier, reading her thoughts to know what she made out of the request.

"Why would you want that, Geb?" she asked with a confused look on her face. "Are you no longer excited about becoming the Supreme Father of Egypt?"

Geb thought his answer to that question through; he was definitely not going to tell her the truth because he would not want anyone else finding out that he doesn't want to be with Nut. "I just need time, Iah," he said bluntly. "I want to take care of everything, Ra, and other things before I take the title."

"Well, OK," Iah breathed. "I will give you time, but only an extra month. I hope that is enough time for you to sort whatever it is out."

"Yes, Iah. It is enough time, I really appreciate it."
