Haruki had Kiyoshi investigate what happened immediately.
When the long-awaited knock came, he sat up and invited Kiyoshi in. He gave him the report. "Kataro attacked Aiichiro," Kiyoshi said after Haruki took it from him.
Haruki read through it and couldn't help but feel his head intensifying. It was found with evidence that Hiroshi exposed to Kataro that Aiichiro was behind Shinya's death.
It was not hard to predict what Kataro would do with such information, but the more he read, the more he felt Kataro had acted out of character.
Kataro was his lover for more than a couple of months before stabbing him yet he had walked up to Aiichiro and stabbed him without a plan.
It might look plain after all, Aiichiro was drunk when he was stabbed making him slow to defend himself. He tried to make sense of what was happening.
