Chapter 61 - Chapter 61

Storm woke up and she was wrapped in his arms, she remembered that they had come here, the sun was out and she shook Chase.

"Chase, Chase......…."

He groaned as he opened his eyes. "What time is it??"

"11:05"

"Shit."

He got up,

"Is everything okay?"

"No, I'm running late." He replied hastily.

"Go, we can talk later."

"I first have to drop you off."

"It's okay, Chase. I can make my way back. I promise to be super safe, and besides, there are others around. Not sure anyone would attack in broad daylight."

"I'm not taking any chances."

They ran fast; he gave her a quick kiss, and she watched him disappear. Then she walked in, there was no one there.

Meghan and Paige were probably hiking.

She had no energy and wanted to sleep some more,

"Wake up, Storm."

She opened her eyes to Paige and Meghan. "When did you guys get back?"

"Just now," Meghan replied.

"How is your mans?" Paige replied.

"You guys sure enjoy the stories I tell you."

"How can we not?" Meghan rubbed her hands together.

"Now, tell us everything."

She told them what happened, but she always left out the intimate parts with her and Chase; those were just between them.

"So Kelsey is going at it," Paige replied.

"Yes, she made it seem as if she was okay with him letting her go, but her actions towards his father tell a different story."

"She seems unhinged. How is she okay with you being the side chick in his heart?" Meghan replied.

"Right. How is she so nonchalant about sharing her man?" Paige replied.

"Beats me, but I'm not sharing, Chase."

"Jeremy?" Meghan replied.

"He has every right to be angry at me. I was supposed to tell him if I would be his girlfriend or not, but I went back to Chase, and I feel so mad at myself."

"Why?" Paige replied.

"I led him on, and I wasted his time. He had feelings for me, and I'm sure he thought that I was always thinking about Chase."

"Sadly, you're only figuring this out as you go," Meghan replied.

"At least you let him go. Better late than ever," Paige replied.

"I suppose, yet the guilt is a lot, but when I'm with Chase, I forget about all that, and I feel alive."

"Isn't that the way it supposed to be?" Meghan replied.

"We're all stalkers in the making." Paige teased as they all laughed.

"I think I take the crown."

"And by far," Meghan replied.

They laughed. "I'm starving."

"Let's go get some food. I could use some dessert," Paige replied.

She showered quickly, and when dressed, they headed out. After eating, they went to sit outside with the others.

Storm did not miss Jeremy when he arrived; he had looked at her once and never did again. Would he talk to her if she asked?

She took a deep breath and went up to him. "Can I talk to you?"

"About what?"

"In private."

"If you have something to say to him, you can say it in front of all of us." This time, it was one of his friends that she had seen a few times.

She did not blame them for acting like this towards her; she had treated him so badly, and if the shoe was on the other end, Meghan and Paige would do the same.

If it's fine, can I talk to you alone?"

"You heard him. Anything you have to say, you can say it in front of us."

"Sorry."

She turned and walked away, there was no way that she could say what she wanted to say in front of all of them.

When she got to her friends, they knew, "I guess he does not want to, not that I blame him."

"Give him some time," Paige replied.

"True, he just needs some time," Meghan replied.
