Cain slapped the chubby rat right across the face,

"Enough rubbish talk."

Cain closed his eyes then murmured under his breath,

"Ignis, how are things holding up?"

A few hundred meters below, decked out in battle gear, Ignis had a rather terrible expression on her face,

"You drag me all the way out here for this?! Damn this stupid contract!"

Cain laughed wryly. Then his expression turned serious,

"We've been able to get most of them out alive."

Ignis frowned but nodded,

"Yeah."

She glanced up, her eyes narrowed,

"Those two really must be a handful."

Then she snorted,

"Serves you right for being a womanizer. You won't spare even a bug!"

Cain's expression soured,

"What?! This isn't that kind of—"

"Yeah. Sure..." Ignis responded dryly.

Cain grimaced, "I'm telling you. I—"

He froze for a moment then let out a sigh,

"You know what? Nevermind."

Ignis chuckled, "In any case, all we can do is wait for the to stop."
