The swelling darkness did nothing to faze Cain. He glared into it without looking away.
A moment later, the shadows twisted and parted, to reveal Evangeline.
She was dressed in her dark night robes. Her hair was still like a graceful celestial river, and her eyes, were still the color of blood.
However, the look on her face, was not the same languid, serene expression he had come to see all this time.
Instead, her expression was rather cold and unfeeling.
His eyes narrowed as he clenched his fists.
Evangeline shrugged, "What conclusions have you come to?"
Cain's expression was an ugly grimace,
"You are the spy. At first I wasn't so sure. However, after meeting that Night lady, I am a hundred percent certain."
Evangeline's cold expression turned into an even colder smile.
She nodded, "Indeed, I did do that. But that doesn't really count as espionage, does it?"
Cain snarled, "Of course it does! What are you thinking, damn it?!"
