Chapter 20 - Ch 19 - Silent day

A deep breath nearly pulled me out of my sleep but I was able to pull back my blanket and let out a sigh of relief.

What?

Shooting I look around and see that i am in my room and alone. What, how, What. My mind is struggling to

Walking towards the kitchen I don't recognize the voice in the background so I chock it up to the TV. Making my way into the kitchen I go at make myself a cup of tea luckely the kettle was boiled so I could make it without much worry.

"Hi Joshua." Hannah said carefully. Wait Hannah? My eyes can't eve believe it.

"Joshua why didn't you tell me you were having your guests over." My mother said hiding her tone but not expression as she look right at me. I couldn't help but be overwhelmed.

"Not the cup." She shouts as my grip goes slack. But it doesn't fall. A second before even I realize what happened Adam left forward put the cup back in my hand and sat down without so much as a sound of a breath. My mother face froze and slowly got more and more confused as nothing had happened.

Before long I was sitting with them in the lounge and was being told all about what they were talking about. About how when I wouldn't answer there call in the morning they got worried and decided to check up on me. After that they finally had a chance to finally get a change to sit down and get to chat to each other.

"Dont worry we know changing your job and starting with this can really drain you." Mandella said with a joking tone but as he was here for not to much longer than I so I assume he understood.

"We just wanted to check up on you and tell you that you could take the day off." Adam said after him so I was given a opertunity to leave so I took it.

Walking to my room i did not loose the meaning of the words said, I was going to have to meet them this evening. So I took the time to rest and lie down but I couldn't go right to sleep so I spent some time thinking about everything so it look me plenty of time to even nap.

I woke up again in the late afternoon but even then i couldn't seem to calm down. Taking a moment to change everything but my jacket. I give myself a moment I thought and deside to take a long walk. Exiting my room I go without a rest.

"Hi mum im gonna go for a walk." I say on my way out.

"Ok take care, must i prepare dinner for you?" She replies while in the kitchen.

"No thanks im good im gonna sort myself out." I sat getting ready to open the door.

"Joshua please don't work yourself to hard." I freeze and try to get my thoughts in order.

"Don't worry I will." I Say and walk out of the house.

I walk down my road to the main road my steps lighter even without the aura. Each step let me explore and relax even more. The night time hussel and the smell of exhaust fulled the air as many began to make there way home the rushing of cars and roaring of engines never felt more lively then when you can see then rush past and feel like you could actually catch up.

I began to make my way to the bridge I could see everything much clearer and in greater detail like I had put on a pair of prescriptions. Everything looked more real somehow and luckily these musings let me reach the bridge in record time but sadly I missed bazel he must have headed off to where he goes to sleep. A bit saddened I didn't stop and carried on my way.

I let my feet guide me as I walked around after not finding him so I could just see things anew. It felt wierd even when I had awakened aura I was under the pressure of not bursting into flame so I never got a moment to trully appreciate it and before I knew it my feet had taken me.

I couldn't help but be drawn to it now more than ever, looking at the building I was almost trying to look past my momories and see it with new eyes as that seemed to be what i was doing these days

Walking into the church my pace was like that of a child as I looked around trying to see things with fresh eyes but much like before I was left lost and unchanged. Walking towards my usual seat my footfalls are soft almost silent I sit down and look towards the cross behind the pulpit and sat there silent for a while.
