"…How long did it take you to forge all of this again?"
As his eyes widened in disbelief looking at the firearms Valyr had made, Byron took in a deep breath to compose himself as he asked the young man a question.
"You said it took you two weeks to complete the empire's request?" asked the man for clarification. "You sure you didn't complete part of it while working on that new firearm you showed me back then?"
"…If I remember, I made around three or four of the firearms that met the requirements while working on the flintlock." Though the young man had told the truth to Byron in his message, Valyr eventually decided to make up a more believable lie on the spot.
After all, even with all the frustration he felt while forging those 10 firearms for the empire, the fact that it only took him two weeks to make all of those was still an absurd feat.
