The only word that could come out was Lucien's hazy breathing. She wanted to call his name but it wouldn't come out. Her hand was still trembling as she dearly held him. Lucien couldn't hear whoever was calling out to her.

A strong arm wrapped around her while the other hand covered her eyes. Lucien knew who the person was behind her and was holding her; however, no words came out. She refused to let go of the hands Evelyn was still holding.
