Vexen was awake for the whole ride that felt like it took days due to being scared for his life, but it actually took 1 hour to arrive at the destination. The destination being somewhere he would spend the next 4 years of his life. Vexen heard the female vampire's voice again, as she told the male vampire, "All right you can go ahead and take that one to the slave house and get him ready for work". "will do boss". replied the male vampire. He then dragged Vexen to the slave house and threw him in with the other slaves.
Vexen realized that there weren't any vampires around, so his emotions of sadness and grief over the loss of his parents, and being captured by vampires caught up to him, and he started sobbing. He only stopped when he heard a voice say, "There's no use crying kid, it wont bring them back. Instead of crying, what you need to do is steel your mind because things are only going to get worse from here".
Vexen turned around to face the voice, and saw a boy around his age that had long brown hair, and blue eyes but what caught his attention the most was the boy's slightly pointed ears that weren't human like. After seeing who the voice belonged to, Vexen wiped his tears and asked, "What do you mean that things are only going to get worse"?
The boy then said "Before I answer, let me introduce myself. My name is Rufus and since you were staring at my ears, I'm guessing you haven't seen a half elf before, But I won't get into that right now. First things first I would like to know your name, and where you used to live before getting captured by those bloodsucking fiends".
"Alright". Vexen replied, still in shock over what happened to him. "My name is Vexen and I lived in the woods with my parents for my whole life until today". Said Vexen, "I see, so that's why you were looking at me like I am a mythical beast, you've probably haven't seen any other race other than humans due to being alone in the woods with only your parents your whole life, well I guess I will have to take the time to explain many things about the world we live in to you". said Rufus.
