Chapter 12 - Chapter 11 : Aftermath!

I ran right to Buizel and hugged him, we both started screaming from sheer excitement. The adrenaline was running high as a tsunami right now, I never would have thought the FIRST GYM would be this hard!?

"That was the best battle I've ever had, congratulations on winning." said Brock as he walked up to us.

"That battle was way too fucking hard for the first gym, if that's the level then ain't no first year trainer ever getting that badge." I said with a frown on my face. Don't get me wrong I ain't complaining, mainly because I won but there's something that's fishy.

"Hahaha..." laughed Brock very awkwardly, his twitching annoying face tells me I'm spot on. "Usually the Sandstorm strategy is reserved for those with experienced pokemon with a type advantage, your Buizel was trained enough to cover years worth of training for its movements." said Brock which made Buizel start flexing, that made him wince like crazy so I put him back his in pokeball.

"Not only that, during this battle I realized Onix has become too strong to be an opening pokemon." said Brock while he was beaming, that monstrous rock snake violated us because he and Brock saw us as an absolute threat.

"So I'll be retiring Rhyhorn, instead Geodude will be taking his place." said Brock. "The level of the gym you fought would probably be around the third gym rather than the first..." said Brock while awkwardly scratching his head.

"That's a fucking scam, but I'll let it pass because I won." I said as I actually really needed this wake up call. This is the real world not a game, shit can and will go wrong but I have to adapt like I did today. I'm gonna be prepared from now onwards, no more half assing shit.

"Well for beating the Pewter gym I award you the Boulder badge!" said Brock as he handed me the octagon shaped badge. Damn I really beat the first gym in the Pokemon world aye? Seven more and I can compete at the Indigo league, I'll fucking do it no matter what!

As I left the gym I stared at my pokedex, in particular the part that showed how much money I had. 20,750 ₱ is the amount I have now, Jesus Christ that was a lot for just one match. Apparently what I should have gotten was 10k but the rest 10k was a compensation due to the unique circumstances of my battle, I'll fucking take it for sure.

I really needed this wake up call, I thought I could sweep with just Buizel so I didn't even bother training Teddiursa for the battle. That kind of arrogance could get me killed here, I highly doubt this world is as safe as the anime portrayed it. I need to start working out to protect myself when my pokemon aren't around as well, everything is going to change from now onwards. I will become the pokemon champion no matter the cost!

While being lost in my thoughts I made it back to the pokecenter, as I walked in Nurse Joy was standing damn near right on the entry mat. She looked at my face and came up to me and patted my shoulder.

"It's alright, not many win their first gym battle." she said in a soft tone, if I had actually lost I might have been touched by it.

"Oh that's funny sweetcheeks because I won!" I said with a grin splitting my face. Nurse Joy's eyes went wide as saucers, then against all expectations she hugged me. OH HELL YES!! I hugged her as well and slipped my hands around her waist. Nurse Joy separated from me with a flushed face.

"Then why were you so down?" she questioned as her face stayed red as a tomato.

"It's just that it was a hella lot harder than I thought, I barely won..." I said as my voice dropped in volume, I always projected sheer arrogance since I got to this world but the truth is I've been scared. Scared of a world that I'm not from, emotions are hard for me so I just shut them off. To do that I put on this mask of a cocky and arrogant brat who always wins, when I don't win overwhelming that mask shakes to it's core.

"Take it as a learning experience, all young trainers have one battle that's their wakeup call." she said as she patted my head, which felt surprisingly good. "In fact you're lucky it happened so early." I looked up to see her smiling gently, yeah she's right about that.

Suddenly I felt my pokedex vibrate so I pulled it out to look, it was a message from Flint.

"Flint: A good battle kid, no sweep but a win better than a sweep."

"*Video attached*"

"*sigh* Well a win is a win I guess, Nurse Joy please look after my two little warriors." I said as I pulled out their pokeballs and handed them over to Nurse Joy. "And if you wanna watch the battle you can watch it on my pokedex too." I said as i handed the pokedex over as well to which she looked confused.

"I had promised to video my sweep as proof, but now that's gone down the drain." I said with a sheepish grin to which Nurse Joy went crimson. I chuckled as I walked off towards my room, I needed some time to unwind and decided my next course of action.

Around midnight I heard a knock on my door, as I opened the door I saw Nurse Joy with my pokeballs and pokedex in hand. I let out an amused chuckle and let her in.

"Teddiursa is completely fine but Buizel needs some time away from training, otherwise both aren't in any danger." said Nurse Joy as she handed me the pokeballs and pokedex. "That battle was one of the most impressive battles I've ever seen, let alone from a rookie trainer." she said with honesty bubbling in her voice. "I'm going to let Brock have it, how dare he go that hard on a trainer with no badges!!" she said as she was absolutely fuming, I felt nice to watch someone get angry for me.

"It all worked out so I ain't complaining." I said with a shrug.

"Did everything really work out?" asked Nurse Joy in a cattish manner as she walked towards me in a seductive manner and placed both her hands around my neck. I stared like a deer caught between headlights, that made her let out another seductive chuckle. Before I could say a word she pressed her lips to mine.

DAMN THIS DAY IS AWESOME!
