Chapter 485 - The Funeral

Alfred stepped down from the ship onto the port of Nakhala with a wide smile. The entire return had been a celebration between the sailors, drinking, singing and dancing all the way home. Alfred smiled, remembering the game they played, trying to be one of the first to get the Unyielding to crack. Alfred couldn't admit it, but he watched the whole thing, greatly interested to see if it was possible. Remembering how one of his elite guards turned their head to hide the smile they wore was a sight he would have never expected.

Stepping down, the people of Nakhala could already tell from the mood the returning patriots were in how the war had concluded and were spreading the word. Yet Alfred spotted a select group that stuck out. All of them wore black, with the women veiled. Alfred knew already it was the families of those who had controlled The Martyr and slowly made his way over to them.
