Chapter 908 - Chapter 906 Living in the Present

Iris and Liz left after talking a little more with the Oracle. The emptiness with talking with him became apparent even to him. He quickly finished their talk.

"When will we talk?" Liz asked.

"When the two of us are truly ready." Iris replied.

Liz was okay with that. Even she was not truly for the talk but wanted to get it over with. Iris thinking that Liz wanted to talk about it decided to say something.

"I do not want to live in the past where we continuously have to talk and learn about it. We are living in the present. In the present, mistakes are made and victors write history. We did not have a clear winner. We both made mistakes and do not have to live wondering where we messed up. The fight we will have to talk about.

Why? There are things that each of us did that makes us wonder why. Once we talk about it and get it over with. We should not have to worry about the past and what we have or have not done." Iris spoke with a serious yet funny tone.

Liz could not help but think just a little higher of Iris. Did that mean that she would not dare to fight her again? No. They were rivals in her heart. Both after the same man but also their fathers fought for no telling how long before becoming calm with each other.

The duo walked outside. The sun was beginning to rise. They watched the sun rise because it comforted them. As the creatures began to roar to sound that another day had come.

The roaring gave them another reason to fight. It also gave them a reason to talk.

"Should we have another round or talk first?" Iris asked.

"Fight."

The duo walked to the courtyard. Both were going to fight seriously now. Their pride from the previous fight fueling their drive to win.

"Begin!" They both shouted.

Soul Qi pulsed through them. Extreme heat started to melt parts of the dirt roads. Extreme cool began to freeze the other parts. A solid Water Ball rose into the sky. Then a Fireball that could be called a mini sun went up as well.

The Soul Qi fueled the balls in the air. While they fought toe to toe with normal Qi. Clash of two single Wills to win against each other began to cause the Oracle to wonder why these two are so focused on winning.

He watched as the Fireball began to glow brighter. The Water Ball began to freeze over. The duo were maximumizing their Qi to the uttermost.

Fist to fist, smile to smile, Qi attack to Qi attacks, their fight was more equal than most fights that could be considered equal. It was not because they knew each other either. It was because they were nothing aiming at the same spots within their vision.

A crack within both balls formed when a shin to shin kick pushed both of them back. The fight became a close one at this point. Both women sweating profusely at the sheer amount of strength the other truly has.

This fight was not like the last one. Where only the Soul Qi was used to strengthen the user. This fight was the personal fight to gain bragging rights. At this moment, both women began to wonder why they could not take the other out.

A single thought appeared in both of their minds, "I have watched the other for so long. I know the ins and outs of their fighting."

That single thought blossomed into a terrifying thought. "I cannot beat her right now."

That did not mean the fight was over. Above them, their balls were ready to soar. A single wave from the both of them caused the balls to collide in an explosion that nearly wrecked the town.

If not for the guardians watching the fight from afar and using their Soul Qi to strengthen the city. That explosion would have caused more destruction than a nuclear bomb exploding in a major city.

"Those two are truly terrifying while fighting each other. I wonder what would happen if they used that much power together against common foes?" The guardians all had the same thought.

As the morning came in clearer. The sound of the explosion scared children, the city wanting the duo to leave, but the Oracle was proud to watch them not only try to fight at their maximum but realize how terrifying the duo were truly.

"I am glad to be a part of those who wish to gain enough strength to climb the Stairway. Some people cannot due to their bloodline, some people cannot due to their merits, others due to their meridians, and the last few simply do not wish to climb.

Watching the growth of the children who are trying to climb and ensure their name is written down in history. It truly makes living in the present a much grandeur time." The Oracle spoke to the maids inside his room.

They smiled. They understood that no matter what happens now. The Oracle will simply die inside the cage known has his house. They wished to make sure that he lived to the uttermost that he could.

Not because he deserved that kind of treatment. Not because they had been abused and now treated nicely. The reason being is his true smile. It melted their hearts when he first came running in not even caring how he was dressed. He told them how he felt. The smile he has had ever since then truly has made them fall over for him.

The maids went that day to pray to the Goddesses and ask that they forgive the Oracle for his actions in the past.

The duo seemed to be greatly disappointed in the maids for asking such things when Rex had tried so many years ago. Now, the duo seemed to trying to decide how to move on.
