"Any last words?" Quintus asked.
Gerard relaxed his body. Based on the positioning of the bishop's hand, he guessed the trajectory and prepared to dodge.
A giant of a man appeared before them, and with a punch that seamlessly flowed into the man's sprint, propelled Quintus through several buildings. The built-up beam of darkness swept through the air, narrowly missing Gerard.
"Oh, that was a nice strike. Right in the jaw! That's the bad guy, right?" Lee asked, smiling while rubbing his knuckles.
"It is, guild master Lee."
"Gods, no. Just call me Lee. So, what's the situ-"
Lee's eyes widened, and he ducked as a pinpoint beam of darkness grazed his skull.
"That is Bishop Quintus, given some sort of demonic power with a small World Totem while praying to Amathea."
"So, the bad guy became an even stronger bad guy because he prayed to divinity?"
