Third Person POV
Uzushiogakure, Year 42.
...
...
Minato could no longer control that much chakra at this moment, so he was already mentally exhausted after receiving and releasing natural chakra.
So, he proceeded to use the power of the fruit, using stamina, which was the body's natural energy, to avoid overloading himself with more chakra use. Since the beginning of the fight with the Raikage, he had already started avoiding ninjutsu anyway.
The Uzumaki and the Suna ninjas were fighting fiercely in the south. The One-Tailed Beast was missing one of its arms, while it continued to throw wind balls at Gamabunta, who was slightly injured on the edge of the island with the sword in his hand.
At this moment, as Minato's light clones descended, the Suna ninjas were stunned when several Minatos began to rain from the sky, appearing near them. Some from Suna tried to attack immediately, while large amounts of poisonous gas and kunai were fired from the puppets. However, when the clones were pierced, they did not bother to dodge, and their bodies filled with kunai. They just advanced with their bodies even while pierced, feeling no pain at all and showing no change in their faces that would indicate they were affected.
That disturbed the Suna ninjas even more. They had already been massacred by a group of Minato clones before, and those clones had killed more than five hundred ninjas before disappearing. It was humiliating.
Seeing several Minatos again made them even more unsettled. They ignored any other red-haired ninja and focused on eliminating that group whose face had already caused them so much trouble.
However, no matter how much they pierced the clones' bodies, they did not explode into smoke as they were supposed to. The very bodies of light continued advancing until they were only a few meters away from the ninjas. And, without warning, they began to shine so brightly that the light spread through the area before turning into an explosion.
In the next moment, before they could even think about what was happening, both the puppets and the ninjas were consumed by the explosion of light, being eliminated.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
The sound of the explosions began to surround the entire coast, as multiple explosions circled the area. The Suna ninjas stared in shock, while the Uzumaki tried to protect themselves so they would not be consumed by the light explosion.
"What is that?" Masaki Uzumaki did not take his eyes off the battlefield being destroyed by multiple yellow explosions. He and Mu Uzumaki, along with an elite Uzumaki group, were dealing with the Kazekage and his bodyguards.
Minato, in the sky, saw that field filled with golden sand with Rasa controlling the sand against the Uzumakis, who were having difficulty handling him.
After sending more than a hundred clones that wiped out an entire group of Suna ninjas with their explosions, he decided to interfere personally, beginning to shine in the middle of the sky, emitting a light so strong that it illuminated the entire battlefield, blinding everyone's vision.
The most affected were the Suna ninjas, since Minato did this from behind the Uzumakis. While most of the Uzumakis received the flash behind their backs, the Suna ninjas were immediately stunned because they were facing the island while fighting.
In the next moment, all those affected were screaming with their eyes closed. This gave the Uzumaki a chance to quickly advance against the enemies, killing them. A massacre quickly began with the Uzumakis at an advantage.
Minato saw that Rasa had also been caught and created a powerful shell of sand around his body while trying to regain his vision. He intended to create a sand eye to orient himself in the next moment, but he did not even have time to recover, as a beam of light came from the sky with Minato acting, hitting the shell and exploding it.
Rasa emerged from the other side of the sand, grinding his teeth in pain, while his chest was pressured against a kick from Minato using haki with his leg darkened so strongly that it destroyed the sand.
The Kazekage fell into despair at that moment. He did not understand how Minato had simply broken his defense that was supposed to be perfect, while he felt his bones breaking from the impact. He was thrown against the ground, feeling even more bones breaking.
Rasa was not like the Raikage, who could withstand devastating blows with his body almost like steel with the lightning armor. And Rasa, even with his body reinforced by chakra, found Minato's strength so brutal that his shoulder and his left wrist shattered before he could get up, blinking several times while still recovering from the light. Blood flowed from his mouth and he almost fainted from that kick.
He was expecting another attack from Minato, but Minato was no longer there. He simply shone and disappeared, leaving the Uzumaki stunned while the bodyguards reached Rasa to check his injuries.
Minato appeared beside Shukaku at the moment the bijū was about to launch another air ball at Gamabunta. The bijū did not even have time to react before receiving a punch that made it feel pain, its head being thrown to the side and its attack being hurled into the sea after that strike.
"Who did that?!" Shukaku roared immediately, searching for the attacker. Minato began to materialize in light above his snout.
"You…" Shukaku growled, remembering Minato immediately. He still seemed to feel the pain from the blows he had received in the Land of Wind the last time they met.
Somehow, that boy was able to hurt him, even with his body completely made of sand. It was infuriating — and for the first time, Shukaku became cautious against a human.
"It's been a while since I last saw you, Shukaku. Maybe a week… right?" Minato said. Shukaku had returned to the desert after fleeing the battle Minato had been having with the reinforcements of Suna's forces, after the trap set in partnership between Konoha and Suna had failed.
Shukaku did not respond. He only looked at him cautiously. That ninja was not ordinary. And he seemed to get stronger every time they met.
"Stay there, Gamabunta." Minato said while looking back at the giant toad, who was preparing to attack after the Bijūdama had been interrupted. Gamabunta held himself back, curious about how Minato would deal with the One-Tail.
"Why are you fighting for Suna? Don't they imprison you?" Minato asked as he turned his attention back to the sand raccoon.
That bijū was strange. He was imprisoned by the entire village; escaped; was hunted; and when they finally captured him, they sealed him into a new host.
Suna used him as a weapon, he massacred Suna's enemies and, when he lost control, he fled back to the desert, only to be captured again — repeating the cycle countless times. He hated the village, but still fought for it when forced.
And this, to Minato, never made sense.
Minato truly could not understand, since that guy had full mental freedom to act as he wanted, but always fought those whom Suna wanted whenever he was released...
Shukaku's brown eyes widened when he heard that, but he also seemed to have his pride wounded. Shukaku growled low.
"You think I don't want to disobey? I have my pride here! When they release me, a bunch of fools starts attacking me. I just fight back and I don't stop until I eliminate all of them!" Shukaku said, believing he was right.
"You know that's foolish. At least attack your own jailers." Minato said. Suna would become more cautious if he did that, and it would also be bad for Shukaku with fewer chances to escape. It was also a lack of pride to simply pretend it was fine to enter, be captured, and then flee again.
"Don't you dare tell the great Shukaku what to do, human! You are far too irritating. Damn you!" Shukaku muttered.
He hated that human more than any other, for having stolen his chakra — the audacity of stealing his own chakra right in front of him! Like in that incident during the War — and now also for hurting him. To Shukaku, there was no more despicable human; he didn't even know the boy's name or did not remember it.
Shukaku didn't even have time to react when Minato made his move. The boy's fist turned black and the punch came down, hitting the bijū's snout and making him lower his head from the impact.
"Ow, that hurt, you bastard!" Shukaku growled in fury, shaking his head. Minato jumped back and floated in the air.
When he saw that Minato had moved away from his snout, Shukaku began to prepare an attack against him. The air bullet was launched, hitting Minato entirely and making him disappear.
"Haha! I got him! Finally! I killed that boy!" Shukaku exclaimed, perhaps never having been so happy in the last fifty years.
However, particles of light began to gather, forming a human body. The light stopped shining and Minato reappeared there, while Shukaku, who had begun laughing slower and slower until stopping, stared in astonishment at Minato still in the air, in the same place he had been before disappearing.
"What…?" Shukaku murmured, but Minato did not answer. He simply appeared above the bijū's head and punched him, making the earth beneath Shukaku crack as fissures formed.
"Ow! How is this human hurting me!?" Shukaku screamed in pain, shouting in frustration and fury. Even Gamabunta watched the scene with his mouth slightly open.
"Don't cry so much. Anyway, I have a proposal for you, Shukaku." Minato began. "I'm going to send you somewhere far enough that the village of Suna will have trouble finding you. What do you say?"
Shukaku, placing his only hand on his head to try to ease the pain, stared at Minato with a mixture of anger and curiosity after hearing that, but he remained stubborn.
"You want to help me after hitting me and I don't need your help!?" Shukaku exclaimed, his pride wounded.
Minato simply shook his head. "Well, I'm going to do it anyway. At least Suna will have trouble finding you, which will make it harder for them to use you if a third war happens." Minato declared and made one of his last clones, who was on the island meditating, disappear, sending natural chakra to him. Minato received the chakra and entered Sage Mode, his eyes changing color. He then simply touched Shukaku's head before making the bijū disappear completely.
Minato looked satisfied with that, but immediately felt dizzy and collapsed to the ground, sitting for a moment. "Damn, I'm not used to dealing with so much chakra. I need to take a break after this," he murmured, dissipating even the natural chakra that still remained in his body.
Basically, he had to deal with four fronts, fighting three kage and most of the bijū. He used offensive jutsu and teleportation jutsu the entire time, and he had been fighting on three fronts from the beginning.
The only one he didn't need to attend to was the west, since his fiancées had managed to handle that front without his help. After he dealt with Shukaku, who was sent to another continent that Minato had briefly visited out of curiosity, the Suna ninjas would have great difficulty finding him on that side of the world.
It might even take years to recover him!
An explosion came beside him as Gamabunta gave a small hop and landed near Minato, looking down with concern. "Hey, are you okay, kid?" Gamabunta asked. Minato, still breathing a bit and trying to ease the dizziness.
"I've been better, but I can handle this." He replied.
Minato stood up and found Rasa trying to recover while being attacked by the Uzumaki again. He disappeared from that spot, leaving the toad behind, and shone in the middle of the conflict before reappearing, causing both sides to hesitate.
Minato looked at the Kazekage with a threatening gaze. "Rasa, you are without your Bijū and you no longer have 1,100 men. Do you want us to eliminate everyone here? Leave now, withdraw. Your ambition to destroy the Uzumaki has failed. Kiri, Kumo and Iwa have already retreated; you are the only one left here. Soon all the Uzumaki ninjas and allied forces that were on the battlefield will turn toward this place. Now you choose: that you all be decimated or withdraw your troops. The attack has already failed and the only thing I expect is your retreat." Minato issued the ultimatum.
Rasa's men, upon hearing that, became cautious. Rasa ground his teeth, but he was very afraid — the entire attack had failed. He could see it clearly; even Shukaku had disappeared at Minato's hands a moment before and there was no idea where he might have been sent.
His troops were only one-fifth of the ninjas from the beginning, and he was injured, not to mention that all of Suna's morale was at its lowest point.
What more could they do now?
