Chapter 106 - King, Wu Chen

its ancient stone walls towering around and engulfing the throne room with an almost suffocating air of power. One man knelt on the floor, his back straight and head bowed.

On the throne above him, sat a fearsome figure with bright red hair that fell around his shoulders like a cloak and was crowned by a magnificent golden crown. His powerful frame practically rippled with authority.

With a heavy heart, the man in his forties knelt before the throne and bowed his head. "Highness," he intoned solemnly, "there is not a single person left alive".

Wu Chen's gaze turned grim and he asked through clenched teeth, "Have you found any evidence of who is responsible for this atrocity?"

The man shook his head slowly from side to side.

"No, highness nothing has been found about this killer."

Wu Chen sighed heavily. Two city people had perished at the hands of an unknown assailant and he was powerless to bring justice to them. He ran a hand through his hair, bristling with frustration.
