Elena waited patiently for the car to be out of sight before her out burst.
It was both of joy and complete heartache.
Tears rushed freely and that was the first time she could recall crying after a long while now
She didn't even know how to cry. It was a strange feeling as the world seemed to revolve around her.
Such good luck doesn't just come on any regular day. Maybe the child was her lucky charm, she teased.
The joy soon came to a halt as her stomach started hurting again.
" Am sorry baby, I will feed us right now " she managed to smile over the pain and sat on the pavement, taking every step with ease.
" Wow " she exclaimed, opening the bag and then bringing out a big cake from it. It was untouched, not even a single piece had been taken from it.
She brought out the drink as well, it was one of the best selling juices in town by a famous businessman which she only heard about but has never seen in person.
Without delay, she sliced the cake and began to nibble on them.

She was so hungry. The meal was extra sweet and she couldn't stop eating, maybe because the starvation had gotten the better of her and now she appreciated every single thing she got.
Some minutes later, Elena was totally belly filled. She rested on the tiled floor breathing a bit heavier.
Had someone told her she wouldn't be able to finish it, she would have denied that.
She barely ate half and her stomach had doubled in size.
" Maybe I'm going to blow up," she teased.
Just then she discovered that many of her fellow competitors were coming out more and she was guessing it was already midnight, this was the time many men preferred to come out and party with women and alcohol.
Since she had been gifted some money, it would be foolish and risky of her to still spend the night outside.
She thought about a nearby guest house that was probably cheap before coming to a resolution.
There was one nearby, it was far and she had been there once or twice with her clients.
She held onto the pole for support as she stood firmly and then started walking towards the place.
It wasn't far at all and trekking was the only best option since there was no driver in his right mind who wouldn't have gone home by now.
She picked up the bag containing remains of the food and also her handbag walking to the guest house.

About thirty minutes later, Elena was standing in front of the gate.
She knocked slightly, then again before the gatekeeper came and opened up for her.
" Good evening madam " he gestured to her to come in.
She was in no mood to exchange pleasantries so she just took the path which he had shown into the main building.
The receptionist was sitting down and sipping on a drink when she got to her.
" I would like to spend the night here " Elena mumbled a bit loud enough for the woman to hear.
She looked over to her and gave a mockery eye.
" You want to stay in a room here ? Are you sure you can afford it ? Judging from your look, I don't think you have a better place than empty shops to sleep in " she held back her laughter still looking at Elena as though it was a mad woman who stood in front of her.
" Elena wanted to talk, but she resolved that keeping silent was better. At least until she gets a room, being in her best behavior would be the best solution.
" How much is the fee? " she smiled leaning on the wall.
The woman pushed off her face, she made it obvious that Elena was smelling.
" What's that foul smell? " she tries to gasp for fresh air.
Elena totally ignored her, but not everyone else who was in the bar. They all turned around and took a close look at the two of them.
She felt embraced as people kept staring and murmuring things she couldn't hear.
That was it, this woman had broken the last straw.
She placed some dollars infront of the woman.
" Would this be enough ? " She asked, becoming impatient, to get a room.
The lady was shocked to see she actually had more than enough to pay, she shrugged and nodded " I will get you the keys ".
She was adamant about giving out the keys of the room but the lady had just paid so she had no option.
" Room 15A " handing Elena the keys and her change.
" Thank you, " Elena replied when she remembered something.
" One more thing " she smiled as the receptionist raised her gaze to her, " what " the lady snapped.
Elena quickly gained possession of the drink the lady was sipping on earlier, she raised it up and emptied the content on the woman's head.
The lady was shocked and she gasped as the chilled drink trailed down her whole body, causing her to be so wet, fucked up wet !
" That would teach you a lesson bitch " Elena blared the glass on her table and excused herself.
Everyone was watching, literally everyone !
The woman tried to avoid more eyes as she tried to exit the place but her heels opted for that causing her to fall and knock her head on the floor.
She managed to stand up with her dripping wet hair and clothes and quickly ran off.
Elena opened the door, dropping her bags on the floor. The room was really beautiful and well decorated. A bit simple and spacious to her taste.
Elena sat down on the bed, recalling everything she had gone through.
The betrayal by the man she loved the most and even more painful, her friend had purposely blown her cover and got her thrown out of the brothel because of a silly thing she took as competition.
Tears gushed out of her eyes like water and she struggled to put herself together.
" Come on baby, we can handle " she tried to comfort herself while cleaning off the tears.
Deep down it was painful, fucking painful and it took a strong mind and heart to bare it.
She remembered the driver and the card.
" I should probably shower and take a long rest " she murmurs, pushing herself up.
Whatever tomorrow would be will only happen if she is healthy enough.
Leaving for the bathroom she keeps on pondering on what the special invitation was and if it was something she would be able to do, touching her stomach she smiles.
Since the little one is forever with her there is nothing to worry about.
