The former were fewer in number, perhaps only two to three hundred, while the latter were more numerous, almost three times that of the former.

However, the momentum of the battlefield was vastly in favor of the monsters, who were pressing the humans and half-elves hard, and the ranks of the latter were at risk of imminent collapse.

The monsters' faces were uglier than the next, with grotesquely deformed bodies; some had four arms, others three legs, and some even had two heads.
