"Boom, boom, boom," the hundred-ton deck gun began to show its ferocity. Propelled by the explosive force of gunpowder, the cannonballs, whistling through the air, shot toward the motionless sunken ships.

Yet just as the cannonballs were about to strike the sunken ships, they exploded out of thin air.

At the same time, the counterattack from the submarine creatures came. Rows of gun ports on both sides opened, firing a constant stream of black cannon fire at the three ships.

The substance, ablaze with black flames, smashed heavily onto the water's surface, causing extremely high plumes of water. When the columns of water fell from midair, a torrential rain began to pour down around them.

Drenched to the bone, Charles wiped the seawater from his face, pulled out a monocular, and, closing one eye, peered towards the distant enemy. "How can this guy keep his cool like that? Not moving at all?"
