Charles let out a small sigh, it seems there was no chance of establishing contact with the Foundation now given the current situation.
"Captain, should we still ascend?" Audric asked cautiously.
Charles shook his head slightly as he picked up the journal from the ground, "Once all the rats have returned, we'll leave this place and wait for the main force to plan the next steps."
Hearing Charles's words, the crew collectively breathed a sigh of relief. They had been exploring for so long and were truly at their limits—after all, no one is made of iron.
With the return of the last rat, it confirmed Charles and the others' guess: there were no monsters on the island. The only one they had encountered before was actually brought by the Foundation's own ship.
"Let's go, let's retreat for now," said Charles as he bent down to pick up the journal from the ground.
