In the dimly lit underground cavern, Charles stared at the enormous worm with its black and white segmented body encircling him.
The worm seemed to lack any visual organs, but Charles felt its gaze upon him.
"Your woman informed the Explorer Association of the Darkness coordinates, so I came ahead of time. I and my subordinate gods intended to find the Darkness directly and bring it back to the Earth Sea, but as you see, things are not that simple," Pai Bo provided an expected response.
Even though Charles was quite surprised by his quick arrival, he had other important matters to inquire about now.
"What's above us? Was that being from the Earth's surface a God? Did you encounter the Foundation?"
A barrage of different questions jumped out of Charles's mouth.
Pai Bo's voice rang in his mind again, tinged with a hint of dissatisfaction.
"Your questions lack focus. With so many questions, which do you want me to answer?"
