In the dim prison cell, a thread of silk pulled from Charles's rear end, and the eyeball spider dangling from it slowly descended in front of Gavin. "It's been a long time, Gavin."
The simple words from Charles excited Gavin to the point of nearly fainting, his joy causing him to bounce around like a child, his face turning red from holding back his emotions. "It's really you! It's really you!!"
"Quiet, don't wake the others!"
Upon hearing the command, Gavin immediately stopped, his voice lowered to a hushed, excited babble.
"You, sir, are like a guiding lighthouse to me. Without you, there would be no Gavin today! You are the pillar of my spirit to move forward! I have always worshipped you!"
"After years of hard work, I can now hear the voice of the Great Power in my mind! I am following in your footsteps!"
Charles had no interest in discussing matters of the Futan God with him. That wasn't why he had come here.
