Dragon Ball – Scene 32.0: Earth, Southeastern Islands Area [Papaya Islands], Morning, May 7th, Age 750
Every participant in the Competition Hall are listening to the Head of the Tournament Committee saying that the Preliminaries will be divided into 4 blocks and the two contestants that win each block will earn the right to take part in the quarterfinals. The rules are as follows: Matches are 1-on-1 on top of the rings; if they fall out, lose consciousness or give up, they lose; killing is prohibited and the use of armor and weapons is also forbidden; the matches will have a time limit of 60 seconds and if a winner is not decided, a ruling will take place to decide the winner. The drawing of lots will decide which block each fighter will be allocated to. Yamcha, Goku and Krillin are allocated to the same blocks as originally, Mauka is placed in the same block as Roshi was supposed to go; as for everyone else were placed in blocks that where fighters meant to reach the quarterfinals and will not be there this time around. [For Details of how Goku, Krillin and Yamcha reach the Quarterfinals, Watch Episode 20 of the Anime, "Elimination Round" and/or Read "Hard Work Pays!!" and "Strongest Under the Heavens" as most details remains the same as the original story except Mauka being extremely proud of Goku's Improved strength and the girls scaring Bacterian Away when he pops his head to them by the window].
Phase 1:
Shiro Vs. Bacterian
In one of the blocks, Gine's Student, Shiro faces off against Bacterian who brags to have never taken a bath since he was born; but this doesn't bother the young man since before training under Gine, Shiro has smelled far worse things. Bacterian laughs heinously thinking his stench has no effect on Shiro as it does on those who has fought the large man before, but the white haired, scarred dark skinned lad is not only unphased by Bacterian, but also unimpressed. Bacterian uses his Bad Breath Stench to get a reaction from Shiro, but the teen doesn't flinch which is starting to annoy the brute that he rubs his hand on his crotch and uses it on Shiro, but the lad jumps over Bacterian's arm and lands on the brute's head. Furious that this is the first time he's ever been treated like this, Bacterian tries to grab Shiro's legs but the lad jumps over the grab and does a powerful somersault on Bacterian's jaw that knocks the brute, not only unconscious but also out of the ring; giving the Student of Gine the win. Mauka is surprised of this as she noticed that Shiro strangely enough behaved like a Saiyan. Kei senses Shiro's victory and her heart is beating real fast that the girls notices the Bat Girl has a crush on the Earthling.
Phase 2:
Blade Vs. Ranfan
In one of the blocks, Blade is surprised as he faces Ranfan as she looks just like his teacher except more brassy that she starts flirting with him, much to his disgust because Fanfan is over 300 Years Old and the young man's heart already belongs to Mauka. Ranfan keeps flirting with Blade in hopes for him to drop his guard, but the young heir of Steel Corp is just like his Family's Company Name, as Strong as Steel for Ranfan's advances are not swaying him in the least. So she decides to resort to her weak and defenseless damsel act, but Blade doesn't fall for it as he tells her that everyone participating in this tournament know what they are getting themselves into. Ranfan starts crying which hopes to get anyone on her side, but everyone around her are fighters, not the easily manipulated masses. Having no other choice, Ranfan decides to undress down to her underwear, but Blade is still unphased for 2 Reasons: 1 – She already saw the naked bodies of his own mother while taking baths with her when he was a kid and during their times in a mixed bathing Onsen, accidentally stumbling on Mauka during times she was about to exit the bathroom. Blade brags that Mauka's body is far sexier than Ranfan's since Mauka is naturally well-endowed which visibly infuriates both Ranfan and the Saiyan Princess, but deep down Mauka is happy that Blade thinks highly of her beauty and that made Yamcha very jealous as he notices the Saiyan's reaction. Mauka's Childhood friends notices as well and can't help but laugh; meanwhile from Planet Brench everyone is either ashamed, blushing or outright furious for Blade "humiliating" Mauka as a good number of them see her as Cooler's Successor alongside Artyk. Furious at Blade for not falling to her feminine wiles and saying that a Tomboy is far more attractive than her, Ranfan rushes at Blade with unhinged fury only for the young heir to knock her out the same way Nam did in the original timeline. Making Blade move to the Quarterfinals.
Phase 3:
Lily Vs. Giran
In one of the blocks, Lily faces off against Giran as Yamcha tells Goku and the others about him and how far he is willing to go to win that everyone worries for her safety except for the Saiyans, Blade, Pasta. Shiro and everyone in Brench as they know that Lily is Goku's Twin Sister, so all of them are cheering her on instead. Giran starts the fight by luring Lily to him by saying that he has something in his claw that she should see what it is, only fo him to sneak attack her with his tail that almost sends her flying out of bounds. Everyone is surprised (Except the ones mentioned before) to see that Lily manage to land on her feet avoiding the ring out, saving herself from disqualification. Lily complains that hurt and that Giran was being a meanie which surprises the monster as she attacks him. He blocks the Saiyan Girl's attack except the one that landed on Giran's Solar Plexus, knocking the air out of him; she quickly jumps over him, grabs his tail and throws him out of the ring; however he laughs at her as thanks to his wings as Giran cannot lose by ring out. Lily is annoyed by this and decides to either make him submit or knock him out, but before she go at him, Giran binds her with his "Go-Go Gum" Technique that not only surprises her, but disgusts her. Lily struggles to get out only for Giran to mock her by telling her that he'll play with her like a doll as he smacks her over the head, grabs as he tries to throw her out of the ring and since she doesn't have access to the Kinto-Un like Goku, getting thrown out is guaranteed; however just like Goku, Lily used her tail along that she strengthened with Mauka, making sure to grip Giran's wrist thus avoiding the danger of disqualification. In order to escape the Go-Go Gum binding her, Lily uses her Explosive Wave to blast her way out of it that even the ground below her creates a small crater below her feet. Giran is shocked to see Lily manages to break free using her own strength as his instincts tells him that the Saiyan Girl is holding back more than just brute strength, but she's also hiding something else, something more feral than himself that scares him so much of Lily, Giran starts waving a tiny white flag as he gives up.
Phase 4:
Pasta Vs. Nam
In one of the blocks, Pasta faces off against Nam, however she recognizes him by his clothing as a Villager of the Great West Desert Area; a location she refused to work due to it being a very poor village without a Zeni to their name as well as stories of demons hiding there and killing even highly trained soldiers, making the area not viable for mercenary work. She also remember that Nam's Village is full of scrawny men, women and children that look like toothpicks and worries upon seeing Nam himself that she might kill him by accident if she goes all out, especially that she is saving her strength for her fight against Mauka. If she was the same as before, Pasta would resort to Ranfan's Strategy and try to seduce Nam, but that is not her anymore as she fights Nam with little restrain only for him to catch her of guard as Nam proves that he is stronger than he looks, so she decides to stop holding back and starts fighting him with more of her strength, but Nam counters everything she throws at him. Even though they are evenly matched in power and strength, Nam's drive to save his people is far stronger than Pasta's drive to face off against Mauka that she loses by getting knocked unconscious. Mauka couldn't believe that Pasta, an Earthling trained by the Saiyan Gine, lost as the Saiyan Princess wanted to fight her and see how strong an Earthling trained by a Saiyan could get. After the preliminaries ended, Goku, Krillin, Yamcha, Mauka, Blade, Lily, Shiro and Nam made it to the quarterfinals as Mauka approaches Pasta to see how she's doing and how strong Nam really is…
(Teen) Mauka:

Pasta:
(Annoyed Tut)
I underestimated that guy. I wasn't expecting that toothpick was this strong. How someone like that be this strong?
(Teen) Mauka:

Pasta:
He's from a village in the desert west from here. The place is a wasteland…not a Zeni to their name. No Merc like me or Bongo would work there.

There are caves in the area filled with priceless jewels, fossils and minerals, but the scorching weather is too unforgiving that the village is usually hit with devastating droughts on a regular basis. Many of them die of either hyperthermia or starvation on how unforgiving it is.
(Teen) Blade:

(Teen) Mauka:
What are you planning?
(Teen) Blade:
I need to send word to my parents about this.
Jackie Chun:

(Teen) Mauka:

I was scouted by the Red Ribbon Army to work with them in that region, but I turned it down to work for King Gurumes after I found out about the Blood Rubies. Working for Gurumes was twofold – I wanted the Blood Rubies and I didn't want to fight a losing battle with demons much less getting possessed by one.

Babidi is in hiding from the Kaioshin as well as Lord Beerus in order to resurrect Majin Buu, he must be masking their power levels somehow. Nevertheless…order them all to not go to that area. It is far too dangerous to fight Babidi and Dabura that death is more than guaranteed.
For the first time since they have known their master, none were expecting to see Cooler scared of someone, much less worried for those under him especially to those who are currently on Earth like Mauka, her team and Niyusu's Team.

Goku & Krillin run to look for their master to tell him the news that they made it to the Quarterfinals with Yamcha, Mauka, Blade, Lily, Shiro & Pasta following behind them. With the help of Mauka and her team that are able to fly, spots Bulma, Roshi, Oolong, (Blue) Lunch, Puar, Voidotte, Stockings, Mark, Miguel, Bristle, The Master of Satan Castle, Gine, Fanfan & Blade's Parents accompanied by Agito & Shizu. They tell them all that, with the exception of Pasta, they made it to the Quarterfinals. Gine asks who beat Pasta as her student replies that it was a man from the Great Desert located West from there named Nam. Balmung tells Blade that an Old Man named Jackie Chun relied his message to them about Nam and will approach him once the tournament ends. Roshi bought a few gifts for Fanfan, but unlike in the original story that he bought a T-Shirt and Keychain to Bulma for some Puff-Puff Service; but in this reality in time, Roshi bought Expensive Chinese Dress, Jewelry and Fanfan's Favorite Desserts in order to win her over like in their youth, but Fanfan believes he's only doing it for perverted reasons so she kicks him on the jaw that sends him flying which leaves everyone surprised, but while everyone is distracted and Roshi is gathering his bearings, Fanfan quickly grabs his gifts and hides them for later as her feelings for him are a lot stronger than she's letting on. Oolong says that Fanfan should have entered herself, but Fanfan retorts that she would have won the entire tournament and would have robbed her student's growth & excitement that would ruin the reason why they are here in the first place.
Everyone congratulates the winners for moving to the next round as Gine applauds Pasta for growing stronger as she believes her student will get even stronger from here and Mauka agrees as she rallies for her. Pasta scoffs and promise to fight Mauka at the next tournament. Mauka stretch out her fist for a fistbump and tells her to count on it with a confident smile on her face as Pasta bumps Mauka's fist. Before they can get complacent, the tournament organizers through speakers requesting that all contestants assemble at the temple's main hall in order to pair them up. Everyone heads to their respective locations, but not before Kei nervously wishes Shiro good luck as the youth acts cool by saying whatever while avoiding eye-contact and blushing while saying it as he walks away; the girls tease Kei except for Nadia as the Hyena Girl is wary of Shiro having Saiyan Traits that even Cooler doesn't trust this Earthling's Unnatural Power.
At the Temple Main Hall, everyone is excited to be in the finals as Krillin looks at Nam curiously and Mauka doing the same to Shiro since just like her Childhood Friend, Nadia & her Master, Cooler believe that Shiro is No Ordinary Earthling while Blade and Yamcha are admiring Mauka from a distance. Goku & Lily are laughing to see that they are both in the quarterfinals and they are really strong. The Tournament Announcer arrives to show them all how they will be paired as he calls them by name starting with Nam pulling number 5 which lands him in the 3rd match as originally; next is Lily who pulls number 8 taking Giran's Original Spot; next is Shiro who pulls number 1 taking Bacterian's Original Spot on the first match; Yamcha pulls number 4 landing him in the 2nd match as originally and same for Krillin when he pulls number 2 but the only difference is that he'll be fighting against Shiro in the first match instead of Bacterian as this scares Krillin because just like Mauka, Nadia and Cooler, he senses that something is really off with Shiro; just like originally the Announcer doesn't know how to read Goku's name that Yamcha needed to help him, this infuriates Mauka as she tell him to show some respect to her younger brother which scares him to the point that he promises not to get it wrong again. After pulling his original number 7, Lily is overjoyed that she will be fighting her twin brother in the first match as she wants to know which of them is the strongest and Mauka is just as excited that her face resembles her own twin brother, Prince Vegeta that she even goes as far as to quote him "Well, I See How It Is… (Hoo, Naruhodo…)"; next up is Blade taking Ranfan's Place by pulling number 6 which pairs him to fight against Nam in the 3rd match; Mauka who is Master Roshi's/Jackie Chun's Replacement is number 3 which means she will be facing Yamcha and this annoys Blade as he wanted to fight Mauka first, but now he needs to beat Nam first before fighting her.
The Tournament Announcer explains the rules which is no different from the Preliminaries, however he also explain that poking ones eyes and hitting vital areas is forbidden; Goku asks what that means as the Announcer explains that in unrefined terms it means hitting someone in the balls; Mauka is furious and embarrassed that Goku doesn't understand what that meant as she wants to smack him over the head for it, but is afraid that she'll be disqualified for hitting another contestant outside a sanctioned match even if they are related. As the Announcer was about to tell the audience about the tournament proceedings, Goku stops him and asks about lunch as Lily and Mauka asks about the same thing as Shiro discreetly gazes their direction as he is starting to feel hungry himself and Nam's stomach rumbles upon hearing the Saiyans speaking of food. The Announcer is surprised listening to them and ask them why now and not wait after the tournament is over as they reply that they wanna eat; Surprised at their determination, he smiles and tells the committee member to arrange lunch for them as the committee member tells the Saiyans to follow him. Goku asks Krillin if he wants to join them only for him to tell Goku that he's too nervous to get the food down. Since Mauka knows of Nam's Situation, she asks him to join them without telling him that she knows, he politely declines however Goku and Lily insists with their carefree smiles that he yields quickly. Shiro follows them as he is feeling hungry himself that Goku smiles happily saying the more the merrier and Lily cheering on everyone happily. At the kitchen, the members and Nam are shocked to see the Saiyans & Shiro eat their fill and ask for more.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we apologize for the long delay. We now commence the 21st Tenka-Ichi Budōkai!

So then, we will now announce the matches for the first round. In the first match…Shiro vs. Krillin! In the second match…Vanessa vs. Yamcha! In the third match…Blade vs. Nam! In the fourth match…Mago—er, Son Goku vs. Lilith! Very soon, the first match, between Contestant Shiro and Contestant Krillin, will begin. The winner of the tournament will receive a cash prize of 500,000 zeni! And now, before the first match begins, we will hear a few words of welcome from the Chief Priest of the Budō Temple, here. Shiro bows to Krillin cordially as the young martial artist does the same as they get ready to battle each other. Krillin starts by throwing a punch at Shiro, but he blocks it with the palm of his left hand and punches Krillin in the face with his right fist, then kicks the side of Krillin's ribs, but he held back as Shiro did not want to accidentally break his ribs and cause it to pierce one of Krillin's lungs; but he notices that Krillin's body is pretty sturdy after suffering his attacks, so he started hitting the Turtle Hermit Student even harder now that everyone in the audience were shocked on the brutality Shiro was dishing out. Goku wanted to jump in and stop the fight, but Mauka held him back because if the Young Saiyan jumped in, he'd be disqualified. Suddenly the both of them & Mauka's Childhood Friends saw something weird from Shiro: he was using Mauka's Old Fighting Style which alludes not only why he has Saiyan Traits but also he might be tied to Wesker, however that doesn't explain his Ki resembling that of a Saiyan, but if Wesker is involved that would explain it. Ina tells Nadia and the others that she will look for Shiro's Blood Sample at the medical area after this fight as Fox Girl Saiyan found out that the Tournament Organizers always do blood tests to see if the contestants aren't using Performance Enhancing Drugs. She will analyze it to find if there is Wesker's Viral Traces in Shiro's Blood; Kei asks if she can join her and without any teasing, Ina agrees to let the Bat Girl accompany her. Shiro gives Krillin a beating, the young fighter falls to the ground unconscious and losing by Knock Out as the Tournament Announcer counts to 10. Goku glares at Shiro for beating up Krillin, but the Dark Skin Lad doesn't even acknowledges Goku, the only one he acknowledges is Mauka who is glaring at him but for different reasons as she never taught her fighting style to anyone, not even Goku; so there is only person who is obsessed with her that he would even program a fighting style she no longer uses onto something or someone: Wesker. The Tournament Organizers brought a stretcher and took Krillin to the medical area as the Announcer readies to reveal the next round…
Phase 6:
Dream Link 7 – Vs. Yamcha

Now then ladies and gentlemen, we will continue on to the second match. The second match will be a clash between Contestant Vanessa and Contestant Yamcha! And so, please make your entrances!
Mauka & Yamcha enters the arena with the former bandit turned martial artist excited to fight her, but the Saiyan Princess is not behaving like her usual self as she is more serious than usual. When Yamcha notices this, he starts to worry if she's alright, but Mauka is not interested in talking, but fighting. Meanwhile backstage, Ina & Kei uses to check up on Krillin's injuries as an excuse to visit the medical area with Goku to look for Shiro's Blood Sample; but they were being turned away since they weren't allowed there, however Bristle shows a badge to the tournament organizers and easily let them in. Ina asks him who really is he only for him to laugh it off nervously by saying that he's not important, but that still doesn't get her curious appeased. While at the medical area, Ina decides to start looking for Shiro's Blood Sample with Bristle's help however since Kei is too kindhearted that she decides to help heal Krillin. Ina looks at Shiro's file along with his blood sample and notices that he has a strange mutation in his Cells, but it's not dangerous to the committee standards; however Ina uses a formula she designed to fight against Wesker's BOWs and much to their horror, when she just put in a drop of it in the blood sample, it reacted violently to the point of exploding up in her face meaning that Shiro is a BOW created by Wesker.
Yamcha looks at Mauka and wonders why she looks so serious right now that he wants to ask her is something wrong, but before he gets the chance the Announcer begins the match that the time to ask questions is now over. Yamcha is on his guard as he remembers Mauka not only keeping up with Griselda, Guyver III and Pasta wearing a cybernetic suit 8 months ago as well as ending her matches in a flash without touching her opponents with her own fists by using the Soaring Fist technique today, that Yamcha needs to fight her with everything he has since he knows how strong she is. Mauka dodges all of Yamcha's attacks without moving from the spot she is, just standing on that spot without moving an inch that really annoys her as she notices that the former Desert Bandit is wasting his movements on attacks that an amateur would do, so she decides to end it now with her Soaring Fist, but it was a ruse as Yamcha jumped over her and kicks her from behind, only for her to avoid it by ducking and try to counter him, but Yamcha has already sidestepped her and attacks her with his improved Wolf-Fang-Fist that Mauka barely dodges his attack. Annoyed that Yamcha almost got her, she uses a weak version of her Galick Gun to push Yamcha out of the ring, he tries to push the beam back with his own hands, but the force of Mauka's Galick Gun is stronger than he thought, that he didn't realized he touched the ground that everyone is in shock. After he realized that he lost, Mauka gives him a disappointing stare and tells him that this is the reason why she accepted Blade as her Mate than him and walks away; but deep down Mauka is saddened that her first ever crush was never meant to be. Yamcha is just as saddened as Mauka while Bulma is furious at Mauka for turning her back on Yamcha like this, however Mauka needed to harden herself in order to face Shiro in the Semi-Finals.
Ina, Kei & Bristle returns to the others and tells them what they found, Niyusu wants to go and warn Mauka, but Nadia stops her and tells everyone that Mauka is a Saiyan with a strong sense of pride. Blade & Nam make their way to the arena with Blade staring at Nam discreetly and notices that everything that Pasta said to him & Mauka earlier is true due to Nam's stern demeanor. Meanwhile on Planet Brench, everyone is curious on how strong Blade is, but among Cooler's Inner Circle, they already know Blade's Power Level is close to Mauka's 250 which mean that he will beat Nam due to the Warrior from the Western Desert having a Power Level of 100. At his hideout, Wesker is watching the tournament and believes that Blade might make the finals as well when Mauka manage to defeat his failed White King Experiment, since Goku's Power Level in this new alternate universe is the same as Nam's 100. Wesker have higher expectation of Mauka than Shiro as the Bio-Terrorist is looking at Shiro's Vitals and confirms that Shiro is not long for this world…
