Chapter 161 - Traveler 2

-Lumine-

"Aether..!" Her golden eyes opened widely in despair, as if she just woken up in a terrific nightmare.

Lumine was sweating from head to toe, she was breathing heavily, as if desperately grasping for air in her system.

In her mind, the nightmare of the unknown god taking her brother was still fresh.

Only to realize that she wasn't in the same place as that unknown god, but that didn't make her less wary of her surroundings.

After experiencing such despair, it would be strange if she acted calm.

Suddenly the door opened, making her stand up and lean into the wall behind her like a cornered animal.

A man appeared, with brown hair and eyes, also admittedly handsome.

"Oh? You're awake, that's great." The man didn't seem to find her wariness unusual.

And this calm act made her feel more wary of this strange man, and she couldn't help but ask in a threatening tone. "Who are you? What do you want?"

The man let out a wry smile at her reaction. "Look I mean no harm, I'm the one who healed you and brought you here to rest. As for what I want from you, nothing. Think of this as goodwill from me."

Hearing his words, made her less wary but overall wasn't completely convinced that this man was harmless.

After all, from the moment this guy stepped in her instinct screamed that this guy is extremely dangerous, even more so than the unknown god she and her twin encountered.

Then it got her, she immediately asked, with a rather desperate voice. "Aether- no, my brother did you save him too?!"

Then she saw the man shaking his head in denial, to which she knew inside her that her twin was already captured before she lost her consciousness.

But didn't want to face reality, but in the end, his answer broke that fragile hope, making her start tearing up.

"I-i have to go back, my brother needs me." Lumine tried to leave the room, but the man prevented her from doing so.

"No, you're still injured."

Lumine glared at the man, she knew that she owed him for saving her and she was being ungrateful but right now she couldn't muster any goodwill toward this man as she was extremely emotional right now.

"Don't stop me or else I-" Lumine stumbled onto the floor, as her internal injury acted up.

The man quickly acted before she fell completely to the floor. "Hey, hey easy. Although I healed your injuries from the outside, internal ones are a different matter, while it's not life-threatening it's still something that you should treat casually."

Lumine tried to force her body to move, but it was extremely painful, not to mention her stamina was pitifully low at the moment.

She can't even feel her own powers anymore, it was as if they were sealed.

Lumine couldn't control herself anymore and broke right there and now.

All the negative feelings that she felt finally exploded.

"Uwwwwuuuu!" She cried as if there was no tomorrow.

And the man awkwardly tried to comfort her broken-self.

She didn't even realize that she was hugging the man, right now she was instinctively trying to seek comfort.

Even if her mind wasn't aware, her body was.

I wasn't sure what to do at this moment, so I could only pat her back hoping it would calm her down.

"There, there…let it all out.."

I'm not very clear about what she experienced but it would be tragic to make her cry in despair like this.

It took several minutes for her to cry out the despair out of her system.

And as she did, her stress caught up to her and she once again fell unconscious.

I deliberately didn't heal all of her injuries so that she could remain in bed, but this was beyond my expectations.

I let out a sigh and said, "Well, I could only wait for her to wake up again."

I was looking forward to talking to her, but it seems that it will be postponed for a few hours or more.

"Alexander! I-i came to visit you.. You don't mind right?" Meteria arrived at the shop looking excited as she saw me.

I smiled at her, "Of course, you're always welcome here in my shop."

Meteria lips curved into a beautiful smile, and she blushed at my words.

As she was about to reply, however, someone answered for her.

"Sister, this man reeks of bad intentions. I knew coming here again was a mistake, we should leave and never return." Alfia glared at me like she was trying to vaporize my very existence.

I know she treasures her sister, but isn't this a bit much? It wasn't like I'm trying to court Meteria.

Alfia is just too overprotective, a genuine sis-con.

It's not my intention to make her sister develop feelings for me, my thoughts at that time were to get more credits.

Healing her was secondary, while Alfia's obvious hatred towards me is harmless, it's still annoying to be hated for no reason.

But since it doesn't really harm me, I choose to ignore it for now. If she ever gets physical I'd show her how'd I'd treat my enemy.

Meteria's expression became stern in her usually gentle face, and she scolded her sister. "Stop slandering him! Alexander isn't a bad person, in fact, he's an exceedingly kind person!"

Alfia gritted her teeth heavily to the point I could hear them grinding loudly, then her eyes were bloodshot staring at my face like I slaughtered her entire family.

I decided to ignore that look, this girl needed to chill, she needed some sort of stress relief that involved using her lips and lower lips.

"Meteria, I'm not that kind." Even I feel embarrassed by this kind of glazing, while I do have kindness. From her words she makes me look like a saint.

Meteria stubbornly insisted that I was that kind of person. "No, you are that kind of person."

"Sister! He's not, in fact he admitted it himself!" Alfia once again argued with her twin.

Then the two started an argument and the subject is yours truly.

What's up with this family, one essentially worships me, and one loathes me.

Truly the embodiment of Ying and Yang.

Then at the counter was Ogla, who couldn't be more obvious with her intentions toward Emiya.

But the man himself chooses to ignore it or perhaps he simply isn't aware, it's hard to tell sometimes.

While he isn't as dense as his younger self, he is still essentially the same guy.

Even with centuries of experience, you can't just change your fundamental core.

His density is engraved in his very soul, that if it became a skill it would rank EX in minimum.

A few hours later, most of the guests left as they had different responsibilities in their respective worlds.

Alfia is preparing for another dungeon raid with her family.

Meteria wanted to stay, however, Alfia absolutely refused to let her be alone with me even for a second.

Therefore forcing her to leave, meanwhile, Olga has her responsibilities as a queen, which she got back after I destroyed Kuroinu.

Celestine was the same, but with more responsibility as their world was currently in a state of revolution.

Thanks to the event that happened, they became more ruthless with their rulership.

A second coming of Kuroinu should never appear.

If it were not for that, Celestine would have come here every day just to visit me.

And I was about to check for Lumine, the door opened and the person who entered was someone I didn't expect at all.

After all, what are the chances of this happening?

The one who entered just now was Aether, Lumine's brother alongside the emergency food Paimon.

It was clear that this wasn't the brother that Lumine was looking for, as it wouldn't be this version.

He's the traveler, while in Lumine's worldline, he's the Prince of Abyss.

Despite that, I greeted them with a professional smile and was internally excited about what his reaction was going to be after meeting a parallel world version of his sister.

"Welcome to my shop traveler, anything you seek is achievable as long as you pay the price."

A/N: To those who played Genshi, which twin did you pick?
