Ekansha's POV:
A lot has changed in my life. I have achieved a
a milestone everyone is proud of. However, it does not end here.
There is a big responsibility on me and my team now.
My parents and my family have been celebrating since
last week for my success. Mom and Dad keep asking about Aarna. (don't know about her real name)
I'm tired of answering that he's in his hometown for some important work.
Now I am in Mumbai as the camp is over.
I can stay at home until I'm called on any mission.
I'm finally free from those boring conversations!
Now I am thinking how to surprise Bhairavi.
I came out of my room.
"Mom! Dad!", I called to them.
They were downstairs with my relatives.
"What happened Anshi?"
"I am leaving for Jodphur tonight.
"What? Is there a new mission yet?"
"No. No. I-", what should I say?
"Why Jodphur?" Dad asked.
"I want to see historical places. So-"
Good. That was lame. Everyone knows I hate history.
"Okay. You can go next weekend. Your dad and I will."
to accompany you."
"NO!" I shouted.
They were completely confused.
"I want to go on a long journey alone.
"Don't be crazy Ekanshi. Long way? Jodhpur is."
twenty hours from Bombay." Dad laughed.
I rolled my eyes.
"I want to be alone and I'm leaving tonight. I amazed my parents.
I packed my things.
"I don't know what you're up to, son. Just take it."
care."
"Of course." I smiled and hugged my dad.
"Take my calls. Mom said, pulling my ears.
"Sure. Ouch."
I went to the garage to pick up the car. If I touch
Dad's cooper, I'm dead. Mom won't let me drive
her car. he looked at other options. Which should I choose??!!
Then it dawned on me. Audi. It carries many memories of Dehradun and Bhairavi.
When I took the car out of the house, the paparazzi showed up
with flashes and cameras. They all live
alone here? They make me sick! I left in silence.
I left Mumbai at 8pm and took the highway to Jodhpur.
I drove for ten hours and then stopped at a motel
for a little sleep.
I woke up at six and took a quick shower and continued driving.
After seven hours, I saw blue houses appear on both sides of the highway.
"Here I am, Jodphur.
By the time I reached the palace, it was almost lunch time.
I rolled down the driver's side window, the guard smiled at me, and the door opened.
I entered around the gates, after a few turns I entered the main palace and took breaks.
I opened the door.
"Damn. It's too hot in here." I mumbled feeling the wetness as I stepped out. It seemed that the sun
very sharp. Luckily I have cooling glasses.
The guard asked the car key to park the car and I
handed it to him.
I turned forward. Gentlemen. There she stood in it
training outfit.
She was breathing heavily, her smile deepening
every second.
Seeing her literally shit. Sometimes I wished I could get her off the phone. Please ignore my level of stupidity.
Her eyes seemed tired and sleep deprived.
Although she looked stronger and beautiful as ever.
She ran up and screamed my name at the top of her voice, drawing the attention of everyone out there.
She fell on top of me and I grabbed her waist tightly to balance us both.
I felt my shirt getting wet at the shoulders. "Bha-"
"Shh. Don't talk." she cut me off without changing
position.
God! I long to see her face more. This woman
holding me like I want to run away if he backs off
Off.
After eternity! She broke the hug.
"Wow! Yeah!" Everyone around us was screaming.
Her cheeks turned red as tomatoes.
"I love you and I've missed you. I said putting her hands together. My voice was quiet, but I think few of them heard it.
"Awww. Omg!" Everyone cheered.
Bhairavi and I lost each other's eyes. She
she expressed her love in those beautiful amber balls
her.
"I think if I kissed you now that would be it.
there's an earthquake here." I whispered into her ears.
She laughed.
The king and queen walked towards us.
"Welcome back Ekanshi. Oh. Wait. Welcome back Chief Ekanshi." her dad greeted me.
"Thank you sir." I smiled.
"I can't believe our son has achieved so much
such a tender age. We are all proud of you."
mom patted my cheeks.
Did they call me their son? I felt the love. I held the queen's hand.
Bhairavi shared her mother's health condition with me. I felt really depressed when I heard that.
"How are you now?" I asked.
"I'm fine. Better than ever after seeing you," the queen replied in a sweet tone.
I greeted the other family members.
I saw a new face standing near the pole.
"You must be Sourav" I said walking towards him.
"Finally. It's a pleasure to meet you Chief," he said
he held out his hand.
"You can call me Ekanshi. I said shaking my hand
with him.
"You are lucky to have everything Ekansh in your life. he said and left.
Bhairavi was beside me.
"He's weird." I commented.
"He lost his father when he was only two years old.
His twin has been missing since childhood. He wants
a throne he won't get anyway. Therefore
he is acting strange." Bhairavi sighed looking at
him.
"He has a twin?" I asked.
She nodded, "You must be hungry? Aren't you?"
"Yeah."
"Why did you come by car? Are you angry?"
Chandigarh is-"
"No. I came from Bombay. I was at home. I didn't inform you."
She was staring at me.
"Bombay is not close either. she exclaimed.
"Okay, okay. Save the lecture for another time. Let's go."
now have lunch."
I felt a strange gaze from behind. It was empowering
as time passed.
I turned around to see no one. Sourav was in front of us talking to others. It wasn't him.
I turned again and saw a shadow disappearing behind a pillar.
I whispered to Bhairavi, "Is your castle haunted?"
"What? Haunted? What did you see?" she asked me directly.
'I don't know-'
"You must be very hungry. And you haven't slept all night!", she dragged me along.
But who the hell was that?
