Chapter 66 - Chapter 65

Ekansh's POV:

I'm trying to open my eyes as the light is poking my eyes.

I hear a beeping machine next to me. I opened slowly and looked around to see white walls. Few wires connected to my hands. I feel completely low and can't move a limb too.

Where is Bhairavi? I want to see her now.

I tried to sit but my body wasn't obeying me. I shrunk in bed again.

My body ached like hell.

"Mr. Verma. Please don't move,"said a nurse entering my room.

I looked around and I didn't find any phone.

How to reach her?

The door opened again and I saw a lady in white

coat, she seemed to be my mom's age but looked

kinda young and energetic.

She came and checked my heartbeat count and

looked at the blood flowing through the wire.

"Your blood is almost free from the poison. For the

whole day, you need to keep drinking plenty of

water, Mr. Verma."

I nodded my head.

"But why's your heart beat so large? Please calm down."

Even if I wish to stay calm, my body is craving to

see my wife, And I have no energy to speak too. What the heck!

"If you won't get any sleep, we Will give you some

sleeping pills for sure. Please take a rest Mr. Verma.

You need a minimum of ten days of bedrest."

"Ten days?", my voice was finally out.

"'Yes. Your body requires time to function normally

again. Don't worry, you will be alright soon." she

smiled and exited with a file.

I stared at the wall totally unaware of her, my eyes

closed while imagining her beautiful face with a breathtaking smile. Her eyes reflected my world.

She was screaming bandar! Ekansh!

"Bandar!"

Why does her voice sound real?

I felt a drop falling on my cheeks.

l opened my eyes to see her tired, exhausted face.

A smile created on my face automatically, "What took you so long to see your husband?"

"I am sorry. I wasn't with you all the time.",she cried, hugging my left hand.

"And I'm sorry too that I wasn't with you till now."

She remained silent.

"Love, I knew you would win. And I'm getting treated at the right time. Don't worry.

She caressed my hair.

"Well, where is he now? In prison counting his last

days or waiting for a trial to appoint a lawyer?"

"I killed him.", she whispered, looking away.

"Wh- what?", I was beyond shocked.

"Because he deserved it.", her eyes were still carrying the rage still.

"How could he try to snatch you from me?",she looked back at me.

"I was stupid that day.", I sighed, recalling the day when I reached Shimla Airport.

"I texted you coming out of the airport. There was a

a storm blowing all over the city. I reached a nearby

hotel as I felt my veins freezing. I ordered for hot

water. I drank it in one sip and then felt it didn't taste like water. Before I could force myself to puke, I collapsed."

She closed her eyes listening to the last statement,

I continued, 'I had no control over my body. My eyesight was completely blurred out, all I could feel was the burning sensation throughout the six days. I

couldn't even make out that it was Sourav."

"Then today, when I felt that they were dragging me somewhere, I heard your angelic voice. That's all I needed to boost my leftover energy. ", I started to cough.

She cursed herself for sending me to Shimla.

"Bhairavi-"

"Get some sleep. Meanwhile I'Il talk to your mom

and dad." She spoke while getting up.

I held her hand.

"Please sleep with me.

She smiled adorably and I made some space for

her. The bed's quite large to accommodate both of

US.

She cuddled me by placing her head over my chest

and she gently interlocked her legs with mine beneath the blanket making sure that I wouldn't fall from bed.

"Am I hurting you? I'll ask for another bed." she spoke, raising her head.

"I wanted this treatment very badly, wifey.",I spoke as she chuckled.

After a few hours, mom and dad arrived in Jodhpur.

They were happy to see me and sad and a bit angry too to see my condition.

Five days flew off with my family and doctors taking complete care of me. I was finally discharged from the hospital.

Today, I could balance myself on my foot holding Bhairavi's shoulders.

Everyone applauded, encouraging me.

We were back home. My wife gave me a surprise

by calling my childhood friends home. She and I prepared my favorite dishes with my mom.

My friends bought my favorite chocolates, new video games!

My wifey smiled standing at the other corner of hall

observing me in joy.

I called her. She walked towards me. I pulled her, making her sit on my lap.

My friends screamed, "Woooh."

Bhairavi widened her eyes and tried to free herself

from my grip. But I firmly held her waist, making her

a gorgeous face tilted towards mine.

"Eky is back!" ,my friends teased as Bhairavi blushed.

"See Eky, your wife surprised you! You need to thank her!"

"A kiss!" others screamed while clapping.

My love started to shake her head in no.

"She deserves more than a kiss." I replied sealing her lips romantically with mine.
