"Hiss..."
Trent Marsh took a sharp breath, walked up to the corpse, and crouched down.
He extended his fingers and placed them on the long-dead neck of the body.
It looked like the person had been dead for quite some time.
The room was filled with the aura of death.
Yet, in the face of it all, Trent Marsh seemed oblivious.
Once he confirmed the person on the ground was truly dead, he took off his coat, hung it on the wall, drew his sword from his waist, and cut open the clothing of the corpse.
On the chest, even though it was decayed, the horrifying scars could still be seen.
The dead person on the ground had been stabbed through the heart and killed.
No signs of struggle were visible around.
The room contained nothing but this single corpse.
"Why did you have to die at this very moment?" Anger flashed across Trent Marsh's face. He walked to the cabinet and picked up the medicine bottle on top.
He shook it.
There was still medicine in the bottle, at least a dozen pills.
