The seedling blossomed.
A vibrant green oak sapling cracked out of the snake's mouth. In a blink of an eye, the sapling grew into a small tree.
Three feet….six feet…nine feet….twelve feet…
Yoze watched as the small seedling that wasn't even visible from his size rapidly began approaching his size. But his face grew darker and darker as he watched the tree develop.
As it grew, he noticed that its bark began having unnatural curves, wrinkles, and folds. These details appeared completely natural for an ordinary tree, but as the oak tree grew, these details became more intrinsic and started forming an image.
It was a face.
The face of an elderly man with eyes filled with depth as if he had seen through life and death and surpassed its grasp. Yet as the old face appeared, the odour of oil began exponentially becoming more apparent and intense.
