Chapter 10 - Media Mass

"Shoto~ Hehehe!" Yuki was making fun of Shoto.

He teased him about the way he acted on the 2-on-2 battle and how he looked so cool.

"I bet you said, 'It isn't your fault that there is a big difference in our abilities' or something like that?" Yuki smiled at Shoto, right now they were walking hand-in-hand. That's something that Shoto started to do at the age of 10 and that is because Yuki loved to run away when they had free time to hang around outside and one time he had gotten lost. When they found him, it was the first time that Yuki had seen Shoto so angry and on the verge of tears and he told him to never leave his sight and to hold his hand from now on when they go outside, so Yuki did a pinky promise. Who would have thought that Shoto would still hold onto that promise? At first, Yuki found it funny and cute that Shoto wanted to hold his hand but the more they got older Yuki would try to have his hands in his pocket and pretend that he forgot about the promise but Shoto would always find a way to hold his hand. So, he gave up; not giving a second thought about the hand-holding.

"You know everyone in the room was like, wow, what an insane quirk, they didn't stand a chance, he is a beast. Hahaha!" Yuki continued to poke fun at him.

Shoto let him but would glare at him a few times when he started to get annoyed, so Yuki stopped.

Thank you to Yuki's efforts, their father had allowed them to walk from home to school. They were already walking away from school 5 minutes ago and they were waiting for the pedestrian light to turn on so that they could cross the street and go to their favourite ice cream spot, when all of a sudden Yuki's world felt like it slowed down.

What…

It felt like his soul got out of his body and suddenly started to rush to the entrance of U.A. It felt like some sort of out-of-body experience, he was floating as fast as he could and was suddenly standing in front of Deku. He tried to call out to him, feeling confused, thinking that maybe he was teleported there in some way but his voice didn't come out. Instead, sniffles came out and he could feel tears streaming down his face.

"I'm just getting started! You hear?" he shouted to Deku.

Deku looked at him in confusion and shock.

"Here, I will become number one!"

That sudden feeling came back and his body was pulled back to the crosswalk that he was about to cross with Shoto but tears were in his eyes.

"Are you going to o—Why are you crying?!" Shoto looked at Yuki in panic.

"What? I-I'm not crying…" More tears started to fall down.

Shoto tried to wipe them off his face while soothing Yuki to calm him down.

Why the fuck am I crying? And what was that?

"Yuki…let's go home instead, I don't think—" Shoto was interrupted by Yuki.

"Nooo! I'm getting my ice cream, let's go!" Yuki wiped his tears away with the sleeves of his uniform, then grabbed Shoto's hand and rushed to the store. Afraid that he wouldn't be able to get his source of sugar for the day.

As they were in the store, Yuki tried to make sense of what had just happened.

He was obviously standing in front of Deku but the voice that was coming out of him wasn't his. It sounded like…

Bakugou?!

But why was he in Bakugou's body? Is it some sort of magic trick that he doesn't know or something it's happening with Clematis?

The more thinking he did, the more his head hurt and Shoto noticed this. He ordered their orders and tried to distract Yuki from his thoughts. He succeeded as they were now talking about their classes and who they met. Leading to today's class.

"So your teacher is busy enough to leave you with another teacher? Sounds unprofessional." Shoto mocked his teacher.

"She's not like that—well from what I've seen, she's really kind," Yuki said while he stuffed his face with strawberry ice cream

"Still, she should have given some warning or something…anyways your teammate really sucks. Almost killing that green hair." He said with a frown.

"Hmm, it did seem pretty scary when I came down." Yuki referenced the moment he had come down with the weapon, seeing Deku on the verge of fainting and Bakugou who was frozen in place.

"More stupid than scary. Yuki, don't associate yourself with that kind of people." Shoto pointed towards Yuki with his spoon.

"I won't, I won't but you know it doesn't hurt to—"

"No." Shoto glared at Yuki. A look that said, "Stop with your bullshit."

"...Really? You're so…" Yuki was about to rebel but decided not to, not wanting to anger Shoto from a small disagreement.

I swear he can be annoying sometimes…

"Oooh! So you got your second quirk when you were 10?" Rika said while she stole the food of her friends.

"More like I found out I had another quirk." Yuki laughed at the stirred Rika who was enjoying the cafeteria food.

The booming voices that filled the cafeteria brought Yuki nostalgia from his past life, bringing the memories of fights, weird conversations, and questionable actions that students would do. Kids acting just like kids.

Yuki turned to his left.

"Naoko, do you want to have more rice?" Yuki asked to the girl who sat next to him. She had powder-blue colored eyes, long black hair in a hime haircut, and peekaboo green hair. She also had very sharp eyes which made her look intimidated but she was the sweetest girl Yuki had met.

"I'm alright! Anyways, didn't Matsushima want me to read his fortune?" Naoko glance at the white haired boy who ate his food nonchalantly.

He looked up.

"I did? I don't remember though…" Matsushima looked at the ceiling, trying to remember if he had said what Naoko claimed.

"It's fine if you don't remember, I won't push y—"

"Oh! Me! Can you read my fortune?" Rika said with cheeks full of food.

"Um, sure! No problem." Naoko clap her hands twice and a stack of cards appear in front of her.

"Okay, let's see, what would you like to know about? Maybe you're wealth in the future, how well you'll do on the tests, or your love life~" Naoko said the last statement in a merry manner but before she could continue the school alarms suddenly went off.

"There has been a level 3 Security Breach. All students please evacuate outdoors promptly." A young voice of a woman said throught the intercoms. Then repeating the statement once again.

After hearing this, the whole cafeteria became a mess. Everyone left their plates and hurriedly went out to the nearest exit, pushing one another and screaming at each others to move.

"W-what?" Rika said in confusion, looking at everyone else who was running out from the cafeteria.

"What is Level 3?" Susumu said as she tried to get up but the students who sat behind her were pushing back against the table.

"It means that someone has traspassed the school grounds. Why is everybody pushing? At this point nobody will be able to get out." Masaaki said as he tried to help Susumu from her seat.

"Ugh! What a bunch of peasants! Pushing each other with their dirty paws, hmph!" a girl from their class, Misaki, with white hair who had horns said as she walked on the tables to get out of the cafeteria. Not bothering to be part of the mob.

When the whole group was finally able to get out of the hallway they were greeted by the sight of an stampede. Everyone was against each other and nobody was able to budge a bit, unless if they pushed. The group got sucked in to the mess, loosing each other in the suffocating crowd. Everyone yelled at each other to stop pushing, telling someone to stop, that they were falling, and that they were being hurt.

I get the whole panic but don't they teach them to evacuate properly in this school?! Where is everyone else?

Yuki tried to jump but was unable to due to being in a tight space, so he tiptoed and try to find the rest of his group or at least try to find someone from his class. However, there was no one in sight that he regconized and all he noise was making it harder for him to concentrate.

"Hey! Stop pushing!" As someone said that behind him, he was pushed forwards. Pushing the person in front of him and causing that person to push the one in front of them.

"I-I'm so sorry!" Yuki apologized but was ignored as all they cared about was getting the fuck out of the building.

"Ooooooooh!"

Yuki heard the sound of someone screaming above him so he looked up and saw that kid with glasses from Shoto's class, flying in the air?! Or more like spinning out of control!

Is he trying to get out? Oh!

Just as he thought that, he saw the poor guy slam against the wall just above the exit sign. He adjusted himself a bit by supporting his whole body and holding onto the tube that ran across the walls of the hallway.

"Eveyone, everything's fine!" he said in a clear, loud voice. Shocking and quieting everyone in the whole hallway.

"It is just the media! There is nothing to panic about. This is U.A. Let us act in a way befitting the best of the best." explaining the situation to students, they all breathed out in relief and the crowd started to loosen up.

Finally! I can breath!

Yuki was relieved for a few seconds before worrying about his brother and classmates, and as he wasn't able to find none of them he decided to text. Happy when he received messages back of affirmation of their wellbeing.

The police came to U.A. and escorted out the whole media reporters and the teachers guided the students back to their classrooms. Resuming their classes after everything was sorted, though some were upset as their lunch was cut short.

"I hope everyone is safe and sound as I don't want anyone to call out today for an injury! But now, we will resume and decide on the class representative and class vice representative! Okay, so would we like to vote on who will be the representatives or do we have volunteers?" Thirteen said in a cheering manner.

But the whole class was quiet, leaving her in an awkward spot.

"Ahem. I guess I didn't make myself clear—" but then two students suddenly raised their hands.

"I would like to be representative!" they both said at the same time.

"Rika?" Yuki looked at his friend who stood up from her proudly with her hand up in the air. Then who looked at the other side of the classroom where the girl with rockets launchers for hands also stood proudly.

Both Rika and Kei glared at each other.

"Hmm! It seems we have very enthisiatic students who would love to be representatives! Why don't you both step up and convince your class on why you should be the representative, then the class will vote. The one who gets the most votes will be the representative and the other one will be vice representative, how does that sound?" Thirteen said as both girls still stared at each other.

"I accept!" they both said at the same and walked to the front of the class.

"Morikawa is up first." Thirteen let Rika take the stand.

"Ahem. Ahem. I am Morikawa Rika and I should be class representative because of many reasons. First of all, I have won many academic awards throughout my education years. Second of all, I have the required skills of leadership to be able to lead this class. And third of all, I will try my best to make this class the best out of the three Hero Department classes!" Rika said as she slammed her fist onto the table and stared at her classmates with what seemed to be, crazy eyes.

Everyone stared at her in silence and concern.

"She busted it…" Matsushima said as he covered his face. Embarrassed by Rika.

"Very good, now Nakajima's turn." Thirteen glanced towards Kei, who seemed unaffected by Rika's speech as she flashed a smile. Kei took the stance.

"My name's Nakajima Kei. And even though those are some lovely statements that you've made and I don't disregards none of them, truly, but I think I'm more suitable to be representative of this class. I scored a decent score on the entrance exams, having pass the written test with a perfect score and passing the practical test with the highest score. I also have had many academic awards, even participating in university level. Also, if I remember correctly, Morikawa had failed the battle trial due to a silly mistake and I passed it with praises from both classes and Mr. All Might. Thank you." Kei bowed with a smile in her face and this time the class did clap.

Rika looked in distress as she already knew who was going to be vice representative.

"All right class! Raised your hands if you think Nakajima should be class representative." Thirteen said.

The whole class, except for three, raised their hands. Including Yuki, which earned him a glared from Rika.

Sorry…but I feel like this class will be a mess under your leadership…

Yuki gave her an apologetic smile and mouthed a 'sorry'.

"Well, it seems as though Nakajima Kei is the class representative and Morikawa Rika is the class vice representative. Let's give them a round of applause." Thirteen clapped for her students and so the class followed.

Kei and Rika went back to their seats but when they sat Rika turned around to stare at Yuki in disappointment. Shaking her head back and forth slowly with a sulking face.

"H-hey at least you're the vice representative…" Yuki scratched his head awkwardly but Rika's face remained the same.

"Umm…Oh!" Yuki tried to think of something to tell her to make her feel better when an idea popped into his head. Rummaging through his back quickly he took out a bunch of snacks, from cream-stuffed buns to salty chips.

"Pick whatever you want!" Yuki displayed the snacks to Rika who suddenly had a thumbs up with a wide smile and already stuffing her face with one of the snacks.

"You must have your reasons for picking Nakajima but I forgive you! Hahahaha!"

"You are so easy to bride." Susumu said in disbelief.
