Under Orion's gaze, Karli lowered her head and unconsciously clutched her dress. She wasn't used to such a situation, but she had already come to the same conclusion as her father: to ensure her parents' safety, she would have to do more than simply ally with the mysterious man before her.
She wasn't sure if she would be chosen, especially when compared to the numerous others behind her, some of whom seemed even more beautiful and powerful than she was.
Still, Karli had always been one to look down on beings from the Material Realm. So she couldn't help but feel a slight complex mix of emotion stirring in her heart.
