"What's wrong?" Another Tang Army soldier charged along the trench, noticing his fallen comrade on the ground and the ally struggling to pull him back, loudly asking.
His question received no response; neither the ones lying down nor the one dragging were able to hear him over the ringing in their ears.
"Is he injured?" He tapped the helmet of the friend pulling, the newly arrived Tang Army soldier asked loudly.
This time, he got an answer, although clearly the other didn't understand his question fully and just said what he wanted to: "He might be injured! I don't know where! Damn it! Cover me! Watch out for hand grenades!"
Grabbing the shoulder strap on the other side, the two Tang Army soldiers pulled together, speeding up noticeably. They had just left that trench when the retaliating dwarf hand grenade flew nearby.
