Chapter 17 - Twice's Therapist

"Neito! Can I do it again? Can I do it again? Pleaaaase!"

Toga walked beside Neito with a big, creepy smile stuck on her face. She looked way too excited, like a child asking for candy.

Neito, on the other hand, was not excited at all. He rubbed his temple and sighed. He had no idea she'd become so obsessed after just one bite of his blood.

"No," he said plainly, not even looking at her. "You already drank my blood once. That's enough."

Toga giggled, twirling as she walked. "But it made me feel all warm and giddy inside! Like everything bad in my head just disappeared."

Neito frowned. "That's not how blood is supposed to make you feel. It should taste metallic and weird."

"But it's _your_ blood, Neito!" she said, grabbing her own cheeks. "That makes it taste nice!"

That shouldn't change the taste… Neito screamed internally, but there was no point arguing. Toga was just… obsessive.

"Whatever you say, Himiko," he muttered. "But the real question is… why are you following me?"

Toga smiled and drifted behind him, fingers grazing along the walls of the old building.

"Well, I was going to follow you secretly," she said, clearly proud. "I was watching from a rooftop. But then you walked into this creepy abandoned building, and I thought—This is way more fun than hiding! So I came in."

Neito stopped. "This place is dangerous. You shouldn't be here. I might be doing something illegal. Maybe… I'm a villain."

Toga tilted her head, unbothered. "So what? People say I'm a villain, too."

Neito turned to her, his voice serious. "I mean it. You shouldn't stay near someone like me."

She smiled softly. "You let me be me. So I don't care what you are."

He stared at her for a moment… then looked away and sighed. "You're insane."

"And you're interesting," she replied, skipping ahead.

They reached a large metal door. Neito pushed it open with a loud creak. Inside was a dim, dusty factory room with cracked walls and rusted metal.

Strapped to a chair in the center was a man with messy hair and a wild expression. The moment he saw them, he screamed.

"Hey! Let me go! This is a mistake! Please!"

Toga leaned close and whispered, "Who's that guy?"

Neito didn't stop walking. "His name is Jin Bubaigawara. Also known as Twice. He's a villain."

Toga blinked. "Never heard of him."

"I had him captured," Neito said. "I needed to meet him in person."

Jin kept panicking. "I didn't want to hurt anyone! Or maybe I did! I don't know anymore! I'm not even sure I'm real!"

"Sir, I'm innocent!" he cried out. Then his tone changed: "No I'm not! I'm dangerous!"

His voice cracked in different pitches, jumping between confidence and fear.

"I'm just a clone! I'll disappear if you touch me! I'm not the real one!"

Toga stepped back, unsettled. "He's… broken."

Neito nodded. "That's his trauma. He can make clones—even of himself—but now he's terrified he _is_ a clone. That fear shattered his mind."

Jin was shaking uncontrollably. "I'll vanish! I always vanish!"

Neito's voice came out calm and clear.

"Calm down."

He activated Brainwashing.

Jin froze. His body relaxed. His breath slowed. He was still aware—still listening—but no longer panicking.

Neito stepped close and spoke softly.

"You're not a clone, Jin. You've always been the real one. And I'm going to prove it."

Jin's eyes twitched, but he said nothing. His body didn't move.

Neito glanced at Toga. "Just watch."

He raised a hand and activated another quirk.

A puddle of goo rose beside him and formed into a perfect clone—an exact copy of Neito.

"This is your quirk. Double. I copied it. I understand it completely."

Neito and his clone faced each other. Then, without warning—CRACK!—they both punched each other in the arm.

The clone gasped as its arm broke, then immediately began to bubble and dissolve.

Within seconds, the clone melted into a puddle of sludge.

Neito, gritting his teeth, held his broken arm—and then activated Super Regeneration, restoring it within moments.

Toga's eyes sparkled. "That was awesome."

Neito turned to Jin.

"Did you see that? That's how your quirk works. If a clone breaks a bone—it disappears. Only the original survives."

He walked up to Jin slowly. "Now… I'm going to prove you're real."

Without warning—CRACK!

He snapped Jin's arm.

Jin cried out in pain, eyes going wide… but he didn't vanish.

He stayed solid. The pain was real. But he was still here.

"I-I didn't disappear…" he whispered in disbelief.

"Because you're real," Neito said gently. "You've always been real. You survived things only the original could. You knew

the truth deep down. My quirk didn't force you to believe anything—it only made you listen long enough to hear what you already knew."

Tears streamed down Jin's face.

"I'm… not a clone…"

Neito stepped back, crossing his arms. "No, you're not."

Jin's face twisted with overwhelming emotion. He laughed, cried, and breathed all at once. For the first time in years—his head was quiet.

"You helped me…" he whispered. "You actually helped me…"

Toga clapped. "That was like therapy! But with punching!"

Neito smirked. "Therapy with results."

Jin looked up. "Why would you help me?"

Neito pulled a small paper from his pocket and placed it in front of Jin.

"I didn't just come here to help you. I came with an offer."

Jin looked down at the paper. This was a contract.

"I need a spy," Neito said calmly. "Inside a villain group. You'd be perfect."

Jin stared, stunned. "You trust me after all this?"

"I trust your pain," Neito said. "You were never evil. Just lost."

Jin looked at the paper. His hands trembled.

"…What's the pay?"

Neito smirked.

"Better than being tied to a chair."

And just like that, something in Jin clicked. He smiled, truly smiled—for the first time in years.

And the voice that feared he wasn't real? Was finally gone. Only the original personality remained.
